Inleiding
GRAF Willy de Beer uit 1924, door steenhouwer/beeldhouwer L. Petit (signering op zerk). Het graf, genummerd D/02, is gemaakt voor: Willy de Beer(*30-8-1903 +14-1-1924).
Op haar bidprentje staat verder nog haar volledige naam: Wilhelmina Johanna Antoinette Maria de Beer, geboren in Tilburg, gestorven in Scheveningen na een langdurig en smartelijk doch voorbeeldig gedragen lijden.
Omschrijving
Het graf heeft een roodgranieten Art-Deco portico, die voorzien is van een kruis. In de portico een witmarmeren beeld van een schrijdende jonge vrouw, neerkijkend op de zwartgranieten zerk met grafschrift.
Waardering
Het object is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van het katholicisme in de negentiende eeuw, in het bijzonder de stichting van kerken ter plaatse van oudere schuurkerken en de katholieke grafcultuur. GRAVE of Willy de Beer from 1924, by stonemason/sculptor L. Petit (signature on grave slab). The grave, numbered D/02, was made for: Willy de Beer (*30-8-1903 +14-1-1924).
On her memorial card her full name is also given: Wilhelmina Johanna Antoinette Maria de Beer, born in Tilburg, died in Scheveningen after prolonged and painful but exemplary endured suffering.
Description
The grave has a red granite Art-Deco portico, which is provided with a cross. In the portico a white marble image of a striding young woman, looking down at the black granite grave slab with grave inscription.
