Grafmonument op het verlorene kerkhof dat herinnert aan de periode 1940-1945.
Omschrijving
Eenvoudig grafmonument bestaande uit een cementstenen stele met hierop een afbeelding van de Germaanse levensvlam. Op deze plaat is een kleine zwartglazen plaquette met inscriptie aangebracht. In het graf is het stoffelijk overschot van de NSB'er Leendert Willem de Leeuw begraven.
Waardering
Het grafmonument bezit cultuurhistorische waarde als herinnering aan de Nederlandse NSB'ers. Het grafmonument bezit in beperkte mate architectuurhistorische waarde wegens esthetische kwaliteiten van het ontwerp en de ornamentiek. Ensemblewaarde ontleent het object aan de situering op het Oude kerkhof van Roermond en daarmee van belang voor het aanzien van de stad. Het object is tenslotte van algemeen belang wegens de cultuurhistorische en typologische zeldzaamheid.

Simple funerary monument consisting of a cement stone stele with upon it an image of the Germanic life flame. On this plate a small black glass plaquette with inscription has been applied. In the grave is buried the mortal remains of the NSB member Leendert Willem de Leeuw.

The funerary monument possesses cultural-historical value as a commemoration of Dutch NSB members. The funerary monument possesses to a limited extent architectural-historical value due to aesthetic qualities of the design and the ornamentation.
