Het in Lodewijk XV-stijl uitgevoerde TOEGANGSHEK uit 1754 behorende bij het complex de historische buitenplaats Cronenbrugh, maakte in oorsprong deel uit van de eertijds aangrenzende buitenplaats Nieuwerhoek. Het toegangshek, geplaatst op een aarden dam, bestaat uit twee natuurstenen, balustervormige pijlers voorzien van bladmotieven in reliëf, op een bakstenen voet en twee voluutvormige zijstukken in siersmeedwerk. Tussen de hekpijlers is een langgerekt ijzeren hekwerk geplaatst, bestaande uit twee vaste spijlenhekken en een tweevleugelig getoogd draaibaar spijlenhek tussen ijzeren staanders. Tussen de spijlen zijn aan de onderzijde vergulde vlamvormige ornamenten aangebracht en aan de bovenzijde uivormige ornamenten. Voorts zijn aan de binnenzijde van het toegangshek voluutvormige steunen geplaatst.
Waardering
Het hekwerk is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde als gaaf voorbeeld van een hekwerk in Lodewijk XV-stijl uit 1754. Voorts is het van belang als reminiscentie aan de buitenplaats Nieuwerhoek.

The ENTRANCE GATE executed in Louis XV style from 1754 belonging to the complex of the historic country estate Cronenbrugh originally formed part of the formerly adjacent country estate Nieuwerhoek. The entrance gate, placed on an earthen dam, consists of two natural stone, balustre-shaped pillars provided with blade motifs in relief, on a brick base and two volute-shaped side pieces in ornamental ironwork. Between the gate pillars is placed a long iron grille work, consisting of two fixed spear railings and a double-winged arched revolving spear railing between iron uprights. Between the spears flame-shaped gilt ornaments are applied at the lower part and owl-shaped ornaments at the upper part. Furthermore, volute-shaped braces are placed on the inside of the entrance gate.
Valuation
The grille work is of general importance on account of its architectural-historical value as a well-preserved example of a grille work in Louis XV style from 1754. Furthermore, it is of importance as a reminder of the country estate Nieuwerhoek.
