De TUINMANSWONING behorende bij het complex de historische buitenplaats Cronenburgh is in 1925 in Nieuw Historiserende stijl gebouwd naar ontwerp van de architect W.H. Willms. De woning is gesitueerd op de hoek van de Bloklaan en de Rijksstraatweg. Het is een rechthoekig gebouw van één bouwlaag onder een met gesmoorde Oudhollandse pannen gedekt schilddak met de nok evenwijdig aan de weg (Bloklaan). Op elk dakvlak is een dakkapel met klauwstukken geplaatst en op de nok een schoorsteen met een windvang. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in baksteen in staand verband boven het trasraam. De roedenverdeelde schuifvensters hebben halve luiken. De voorgevel (noordzijde) is symmetrisch ingedeeld met in het midden een paneeldeur onder een snijraam, geflankeerd door een venster. De achtergevel bevat links een venster, in het midden een paneeldeur met ruiten en roedenverdeeld bovenlicht en rechts daarvan een klein hoger geplaatst venster en een opgeklampte deur. De beide zijgevels hebben aan weerszijden van de middenas een venster.

Het pand is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als laat voorbeeld van een tuinmanswoning in 1925 gebouwd in Nieuw Historiserende stijl, in overeenstemming met het hoofdgebouw, naar ontwerp van de W.H. Willms, alsmede vanwege de gave hoofdvorm en detaillering. Tevens heeft het ensemblewaarde in ruimtelijke, functionele en stilistische samenhang met de overige complexonderdelen van de buitenplaats.

The GARDENER'S COTTAGE belonging to the complex of the historic country estate Cronenburgh was built in 1925 in New Historicising style to the design of architect W.H. Willms. The dwelling is situated at the corner of the Bloklaan and the Rijksstraatweg. It is a rectangular building of one storey under a hipped roof covered with suppressed Old Dutch tiles with the ridge parallel to the road (Bloklaan). On each roof pitch a roof dormer with ear-pieces is placed and on the ridge a chimney with a weathercock. The facades are built of brick in stretcher bond above the ground frame. The rod-divided sash windows have half shutters. The front facade (north side) is symmetrically divided with in the centre a panel door under a transom window, flanked by a window. The back facade contains on the left a window, in the centre a panel door with panes and rod-divided fanlight and to the right of it a small higher placed window and a clamped door. Both side facades have on either side of the central axis a window.
Valuation
The building is of general interest due to its cultural and architectural historical value as a late example of a gardener's cottage built in 1925 in New Historicising style, in accordance with the main building, to the design of W.H. Willms, as well as due to the intact main form and detailing. It also has ensemble value in spatial, functional and stylistic coherence with the other complex components of the country estate.
