Omschrijving onderdeel 2:
PARKAANLEG, tussen 1845 en 1849 in landschapsstijl aangelegd als onderdeel van de historische buitenplaats "Het Schol" door Samuel A. van Lunteren op basis van een oudere fragmentarische aanleg, waarin een oude IJsselkolk het centrum vormt. Het huis ligt op een heuvel, opgeworpen met de grond, die vrijgekomen is bij het vergraven en vergroten van de kolk tot een vijver met twee armen; het huis is het middelpunt van het in Engelse landschapsstijl aangelegde park; de voorzijde van het huis is gericht naar de vijver, die oostelijk van het huis tegen de IJsseldijk ligt; vanaf de dijk presenteert het geheel van huis - gespiegeld in de vijver - en park zich optimaal: een decorstuk tegen de groene coulissen. Vanuit het huis zijn er 5 zichtassen: in oostelijke richting over de vijver, in zuidelijke richting naar de kerktoren van Wilp, in westelijke richting over de ronde moestuin via een oude solitaire rode beuk naar de akker; naar het noordwesten over een weiland en op het tuinmanshuis, en naar het noordoosten over een wei met een groep oude rode beuken naar de Lebuïnustoren in Deventer. In de ronde moestuin, die nu als eigentijdse tuin is ingericht, staan nog twee kassen en twee koude bakken (zie onder 5). Rond het huis is een afwisseling van weilanden en bospercelen, waarvan de grenzen onregelmatige slingerende lijnen zijn; het geheel is ''opgehangen'' aan de bochtige weg, die in het noordoosten aan de Wilpsedijk begint en eindigt in de zuidoostpunt van het park; deze weg, die vroeger semi-openbaar was, dient als oprijlaan naar het huis; slechts ten dele is de oude eikenbeplanting nog aanwezig. Er zijn vier weilanden: het glooiende grasveld tussen huis en vijver (hierin twee oude taxusbomen), de langwerpige wei (met jonge aanplant van solitairen en groepjes) tot aan de Vermeersweg ten noordwesten van het huis, de wei ten noordoosten tot aan de IJsseldijk met twee oude rode beuken, en de langgerekte wei langs de dijk ten zuiden en zuidwesten van huis en vijver. N.B: de reeds genoemde akker achter de moestuin is als belangrijke visuele buffer opgenomen in het complex.

PARK LAYOUT, laid out between 1845 and 1849 in landscape style as part of the historical country estate "Het Schol" by Samuel A. van Lunteren on the basis of an older fragmentary layout, in which an old IJssel pool formed the centre. The house stands on a mound, raised with the soil freed by the excavation and enlargement of the pool into a pond with two arms; the house is the focal point of the park laid out in English landscape style; the front of the house faces the pond, which lies east of the house against the IJssel dike; from the dike the whole of house - reflected in the pond - and park presents itself optimally: a decorative piece against the green backdrops. From the house there are 5 sight lines: in easterly direction over the pond, in southerly direction towards the church tower of Wilp, in westerly direction over the circular vegetable garden via an old solitary red beech towards the arable field; towards the north-west over a meadow and to the gardener's house, and towards the north-east over a meadow with a group of old red beeches towards the Lebuïnus tower in Deventer. In the circular vegetable garden, which is now laid out as a contemporary garden, two greenhouses and two cold frames still stand (see under 5). Around the house is an alternation of meadows and wooded parcels, the boundaries of which are irregular meandering lines; the whole is 'hung' on the winding road, which in the north-east starts at the Wilpsedijk and ends in the south-east point of the park; this road, which was formerly semi-public, serves as the drive to the house; only in part is the old oak planting still present. There are four meadows: the sloping lawn between house and pond (in which two old yew trees), the elongated meadow (with young planting of solitaries and groups) as far as the Vermeersweg to the north-west of the house, the meadow to the north-east as far as the IJssel dike with two old red beeches, and the elongated meadow along the dike to the south and south-west of house and pond. N.B: the arable field already mentioned behind the vegetable garden is included in the complex as an important visual buffer.
