Inleiding.
PASTORIE, nu in gebruik als Ursulinenklooster "Huize Angela", gebouwd in circa 1895 in Neo-Renaissancestijl. Als gevolg van de gewijzigde functie is aan de achterzijde, in de voormalige pastorietuin een nieuwe bouwmassa op L-vormige plattegrond tegen het pand geplaatst. Dit gedeelte wordt niet beschermd.
Het pand bevindt zich aan de Dorpsstraat, naast de kerk, in de kern van Aarle-Rixtel.
Omschrijving.
Tweelaags pand op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een afgeplat schilddak. Het dak is gedekt met leien en voorzien van een overstek met gootlijst. De voorgevel is vijf traveeën breed en voorzien van een middenrisaliet. Tegen de linker zijgevel is een uitbouw met afgeschuinde zijden, onder een flauw hellend dak, geplaatst. Hierin bevindt zich een gevelsteen met opschrift "P.C.P./H.DE BEER PAR/IN/.../1894". Daarachter, tegen de hoek van het pand bevindt zich een éénlaagse aanbouw onder schilddak waarvan de nok haaks op de straat loopt. Het pand is uitgevoerd in baksteen en heeft een iets vooruitstekende natuurstenen plint. De vensterbanken onder de ramen zijn uitgevoerd in natuursteen en lopen als waterlijsten door over de gehele gevel. Direkt onder de gootlijst is een bakstenen fries aangebracht. Op de begane grond zijn zesruits rondboogramen aanwezig, op de verdieping zijn het rechthoekige zesruitsramen. Alle ramen zijn in een omlijsting van geprofileerde baksteen, uitgevoerd in een afwijkende kleur ten opzichte van de gevel, geplaatst. De dakkapellen zijn verspreid in het dakvlak gezet en voorzien van een zadeldakje en spits, gedekt met leien en bekroond door een zinken piron. In de middenrisaliet bevindt zich een dubbele paneeldeur met rondboog bovenlicht, gevuld met glas-in-lood. Voor de deur is een bakstenen trapje aangebracht. In het interieur verkeert de indeling in grote lijnen nog in de oorspronkelijke staat. Een lange gang doorsnijdt het pand, aan weerszijden zijn vertrekken aanwezig. Elementen uit de oorspronkelijke inrichting zijn sober, het betreft onder andere hoge stucplafonds, de trap met bewerkte houten balusters en paneeldeuren in houten geprofileerde omlijstingen.
Waardering.
Het pand is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van het ontwikkeling van het katholicisme in het zuiden van Nederland en is tevens van belang als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van de dorpspastorie. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de sobere stijl en de markante detaillering. Het heeft ensemblewaarden in samenhang met de kerk, het voormalige raadhuis en het H. Hartbeeld.

RECTORY, now in use as Ursuline convent "Huize Angela", built circa 1895 in Neo-Renaissance style. As a result of the changed function, a new building mass on an L-shaped plan has been placed against the building on the reverse side, in the former rectory garden. This section is not protected.
The building is situated on the Dorpsstraat, next to the church, in the centre of Aarle-Rixtel.
Description.
Two-storey building on a rectangular plan beneath a flattened hipped roof. The roof is covered with slate and provided with an overhang with gutter moulding. The front facade is five bays wide and provided with a central avant-corps. Against the left side facade is an extension with chamfered sides, beneath a gentle sloping roof, placed. In this is a facade stone with the inscription "P.C.P./H.DE BEER PAR/IN/.../1894". Behind this, at the corner of the building, is a single-storey extension beneath a hipped roof whose ridge runs perpendicular to the street. The building is executed in brick and has a slightly projecting natural stone plinth. The window sills beneath the windows are executed in natural stone and run as drip mouldings across the entire facade. Directly beneath the gutter moulding is a brick frieze. On the ground floor there are six-pane round-arch windows; on the upper floor they are rectangular six-pane windows. All windows are set within a moulding of profiled brick, executed in a contrasting colour to the facade. The roof dormers are placed scattered in the roof plane and provided with a gabled roof and spire, covered with slate and crowned with a zinc finial. In the central avant-corps is a double panelled door with round-arch fanlight, filled with leaded glass. Before the door is a small brick staircase. In the interior the layout remains in the main original state. A long corridor runs through the building, with rooms on either side. Elements from the original interior are austere, including high stuccoed ceilings, the staircase with carved wooden balusters and panelled doors in wooden profiled surrounds.
Valuation.
The building is of general importance. It has cultural-historical significance as an expression of the development of Catholicism in the south of the Netherlands and is also important as an example of the typological development of the village rectory. It has architectural-historical value due to the austere style and striking detailing. It has ensemble values in conjunction with the church, the former town hall and the Holy Heart statue.
