Inleiding.
HEILIG HARTBEELD, gemaakt in 1925 door J. Dechin. Vrijstaand, gericht naar het plein voor de kerk, met de rug naar de zijgevel van het raadhuis.
Omschrijving.
Bronzen beeld van Christus, afgebeeld met gespreide armen. Het Hart is in reliëf afgebeeld, in een stralenkrans. Op de voet van het beeld is naast een kelk het opschrift "SACRE COEUR DE JESUS/ROI DES FAMILLES" gezet. Aan de achterzijde is in deze rand de tekst "J.DECHIN/PROPRIETE J.PROUVOST - DENONVILLERS" gekrast. Het geheel is op een natuurstenen, vierkante sokkel die naar boven toe smaller wordt, geplaatst. De sokkel is uitgevoerd in rustica. Tegen de voorzijde is een bronzen plaquette aangebracht met opschrift "KOMT TOT/MIJ GY ALLEN/DIE ZWOEGT/EN VOL ZOR-/GEN ZYT EN IK ZAL U OP-/BEUREN". Aan de achterzijde bevindt zich op de sokkel een natuurstenen plaquette met opschrift "OP DEN 30STEN MEI/VAN HET JAAR O.H. 1925/WERD DEZE GEMEENTE/PLECHTIG TOEGEWIJD/ AAN HET/HEILIG HART VAN JEZUS/DOOR/MGR.
