Inleiding.
Achter het langgerekte tweelaags kantoorgebouw aan de Zuid-Willemsvaart ligt, haaks gelegen op het kanaal, een eenlaags FABRIEKSHAL met sheddaken, oorspronkelijk gebouwd in ambachtelijk-traditionele stijl voor de fabrieksmatige produktie van klinknagels.
Beschrijving.
De bedrijfsaanbouw bestaat uit een tweetal in oost-westelijke richting gesitueerde bedrijfshallen onder dubbel sheddak met kruispannen. In het interieur zijn de hallen door een bakstenen binnenmuur gescheiden. De sheds zijn aan de noordelijke zijde geopend. Deze fabriekshallen zijn opgetrokken in baksteen. De zuidelijke gevel is geleed door een vijftiental lisenen. Ook de oostelijke gevel heeft een dergelijke indeling. Aan deze zijde zijn de topgevels voorzien van blinde oculi. Alle gevels zijn voorzien van smeedijzeren muurankers.
Waardering.
Het gebouw is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische en technische ontwikkeling, namelijk de groei van de metaalindustrie in relatie tot de ontwikkelingen aan de Zuid-Willemsvaart in de periode rond 1900. Het is tevens van belang voor de typologische ontwikkeling van de gebouwen voor de metaalnijverheid. Het heeft architectuurhistorisch belang door de eenvoudige en utilitaire vormentaal.
