Omschrijving onderdeel 7:
HEK behorende tot de buitenplaats De Nederhorst. Aan het begin van de oprijlaan bij de Slotlaan staat een groot achttiende-eeuws hek in Lodewijk XIV-stijl bestaande uit twee gebeeldhouwde hardstenen pijlers bekroond door een vaas; waartussen dubbele smeedijzeren, deels vergulde hekvleugels bestaande uit een spijlenhek met kuif, en gekrulde zijstukken van de hand van de Amsterdamse meestersmid Gijsbert van Dijk (dezelfde maker als het hek van buitenplaats VreedenHoff te Nieuwersluis). Het hek staat op een gemetselde dam van gebogen keermuren met hardstenen afdekplaten. Restauratie 1999.

GATE belonging to the country estate De Nederhorst. At the beginning of the drive at the Slotlaan stands a large eighteenth-century gate in Louis XIV style consisting of two sculptured hardstone pillars crowned by an urn; between them double wrought-iron, partly gilded gate wings consisting of a railings gate with cornice, and curved side pieces by the Amsterdam master blacksmith Gijsbert van Dijk (the same maker as the gate of country estate VreedenHoff at Nieuwersluis). The gate stands on a mortared dam of curved retaining walls with hardstone capping plates. Restoration 1999.
