Omschrijving onderdeel 4:
TOEGANGSHEK behorende tot de historische buitenplaats Blikkenburg. Ten westen van het hoofdgebouw wordt aan de Blikkenburgerlaan de oprijlaan afgesloten met een dubbel, smeedijzeren spijlenhek tussen opengewerkte smeedijzeren pijlers op vierkante grondslag. De pijlers en de onderzijde van de hekken hebben een ornamenteel, geometrisch patroon van kruizen met een stip op het snijpunt van de diagonalen, omkaderd door een rechthoek. In de beide hekdelen is de naam van de buitenplaats verwerkt, het linker hek vermeldt "BLIKKE", het rechter hek "NBURG". De spijlen van het hek zijn aan de bovenzijde voorzien van speerpunten, die net als de naam van de buitenplaats goudkleurig zijn uitgevoerd. Het toegangshek dateert uit de bouwtijd van het huis.

Description of component 4:
ACCESS GATE belonging to the historical country estate Blikkenburg. To the west of the main building, at the Blikkenburgerlaan, the drive is closed off with a double wrought-iron spear gate between open-worked wrought-iron pillars on a square base. The pillars and the underside of the gates have a decorative, geometric pattern of crosses with a dot at the intersection of the diagonals, framed by a rectangle. In both gate sections the name of the country estate is incorporated, the left gate reads "BLIKKE", the right gate "NBURG". The spears of the gate are provided with spear points at the top, which, like the name of the country estate, are executed in gold colour. The access gate dates from the time of construction of the house.
