MAIN HOUSE Bosbeek. The property is described from the viewpoint that the north-western facade is the front facade, which architecturally speaking and given the layout of the house is indeed so. A rectangular house from the first half of the 18th century consisting of a basement, two storeys, a straight cornice and a hipped roof covered with tiles with corner chimneys. The front facade is five bays wide with a central risalit, in which the accentuated entrance composition and in front of it a stone step with stairs. Rusticated pilasters have been applied at the corners. The central section consists of an entrance framed by pilasters and entablature and above it an arched window framed by carving. Furthermore roof dormers, of which the middle one is crowned with a semi-circular arch in keeping with the emphasis on the entire central section. The windows have a slightly arched upper sill. The roof dormers and the window arrangement were reapplied during a restoration. The rear facade is also five bays wide, of which the middle three are built out to form a dome, crowned by a balustrade. A later-added stairs with landing lies in front in the middle. Internally the house is well preserved, particularly on the piano nobile. Apart from some modern adaptations (lift) the layout here is still original with central hall, stairwell and rooms. The finish also shows much 18th-century and some 19th-century work such as marble floor and stucco ceiling in the hallway, stairwell with original staircase with carved balusters in Louis XV style, above it a stucco ceiling. Also the hall with marble floor, stucco ceiling and walls. Door compositions in frames. The large rear room still has the painted panel in the ceiling, representing an allegory of the harvest with an image of among others Demeter and Bacchus.
