Omschrijving
Inleiding.

Description
Introduction.
The DWELLING HOUSE of the farmyard complex was built at the end of the nineteenth century in Craftsman-Traditional building style with Neo-Classicist elements. It is located on the front courtyard, along the road, and is connected to the rear barn, which falls outside the protected area.
Description.
The single-storey brick dwelling house is built on a rectangular ground plan and has a slightly lower annex. It has a stuccoed plinth all around and likewise frieze with light moulding on the front facade. The through-masonry spout gables are crowned with chimneys with an iron crown. The central entrance in the front facade has a stuccoed frame with volutes and a coping. The wooden panel door has a fanlight with a leaded light window. The entrance section is flanked on both sides by two straight-headed windows with six-light sash windows, fitted with leaded light in the fanlights. The windows are fitted with louvre shutters. The front facade of the annex has a similar window and a wooden door with frame. In the rear facade a new window has recently been placed and a new door in the annex. The gabled roof is covered with tiles and has in the front and rear elevation two roof dormers from 1947. In front of the front facade is a step with hardstone bollards and an iron chain.
The layout of the interior is broadly in the original state, except that the layout of the upper floor dates from 1947 and the central space on the ground floor has been recently altered. The central hallway has a marble floor, a stuccoed ceiling and wooden panel doors giving access to the adjoining rooms. The front room is fitted with a parquet floor, a cupboard wall with wooden panel doors, a marble fireplace and a very richly stuccoed ceiling.
Valuation.
The dwelling house of the farmyard complex is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as a good representative of the prosperous cattle-farming culture on the clay soils at the end of the nineteenth century. It has architectural-historical value as a representative of the Craftsman-Traditional building style with Neo-Classicist elements. It has building-historical value because of the applied building materials, in particular the stucco work in the front room. It has ensemble value because of its coherence with the other complex components. It is relatively well preserved and rare as an example of the prosperous cattle-farming culture on the clay soils.
