BIJGEBOUW, voormalig broedhok voor kippen, gesticht ca. 1900 en deel uitmakend van een boerderijcomplex, gelegen nabij de kom van de rond 1915 tot stand gekomen ontginningsnederzettingWesterbeek.
Omschrijving
Eenlaags gebouwtje, opgetrokken uit handvorm baksteen, onder zadeldak met muldenpannen en aan de achterzijde verbeterde Hollandse pannen.
Gevels met tandlijst en aan de voorzijde twee opgeklampte deuren en negenruits ijzeren toograam. In de zij- enachtergevels diverse later aangebrachte vier- en zesruitsramen en een oorspronkelijk negenruits toograam.
Waardering
Het bijgebouw is van algemeen belang en heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als getuigenis van de sociaal-economische en geografische ontwikkeling. Het is tevens van belang vanwege het pionierskarakter in relatie tot de ontginning van de Peel en de stichting van een ontginningsdorp. Het heeft ensemblewaarden vanwege de situering, nauw verbonden met de ontwikkeling van het dorp. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven en een goed voorbeeld van een ontginningsboerderij in de Peel.

ADJUNCT BUILDING, former brooding coop for chickens, founded ca. 1900 and forming part of a farm complex, located near the centre of the reclamation settlement Westerbeek, which came into being around 1915.
Description
Single-storey building, constructed from handmade brick, under a gabled roof with curved barrel tiles and improved Dutch tiles at the rear.
Facades with a toothed cornice and on the front two bolted doors and a nine-light iron transom window. In the side and rear facades various four- and six-light windows added later and an original nine-light transom window.
Valuation
The adjunct building is of general interest and has cultural-historical value as evidence of social-economic and geographical development. It is also of importance because of its pioneering character in relation to the reclamation of the Peel and the establishment of a reclamation village. It has ensemble values because of its location, closely connected with the development of the village. It has been preserved in good condition and is a good example of a reclamation farm in the Peel.
