Schaijk Noordhoek 13
Inleiding.
Voormalig VERENIGINGSLOKAAL van de BOERENBOND Schaijk met verkoopruimte van agrarische producten uit 1910. Tweelaags gebouw in Overgangsstijl, met eenlaagse aanbouw, nu een winkel-woonhuis.
Omschrijving.
In de architectuur van het rechthoekige, tweelaags gebouw met plat dak is duidelijk het verschil in functies van de bouwlagen zichtbaar. Op de begane grond de minder representatieve verkoopruimte met de lage verdiepingshoogte en op de verdieping de voormalige toneelzaal met een hoge verdieping. De buitenmuren zijn van baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband. De voorgevel is drie traveeën breed met een attiekvormige bekroning op het dak tussen vier pilasters. Hierop het half verdwenen opschrift: "VERENIGINGS GEBOUW". In de lengte van het huis vier traveeën op de verdieping. De zijgevels hebben een bekroning van houten bakgoten op gesneden gootklossen. De oorspronkelijke ramen en deuren zijn vervangen. Op de verdieping T-vensters. Aan de achterkant van het verenigingslokaal een eenlaags bakstenen aanbouw met een plat dak.
Waardering.
Het Boerenbondsgebouw is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de sociaaleconomische ontwikkeling van de landbouw in Noord-Brabant en als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het verenigingsgebouw. Het is architectuurhistorisch van belang vanwege de stijl en de ornamentiek. Het is uitwendig gaaf bewaard gebleven en als voorbeeld van een boerenbondsgebouw uiterst zeldzaam.

In the architecture of the rectangular, two-storey building with flat roof the difference in functions of the storeys is clearly visible. On the ground floor the less representative sales room with the lower storey height and on the upper floor the former theatre hall with a tall storey. The outer walls are of brick laid in cross bond. The front facade is three bays wide with an attic-like crowning on the roof between four pilasters. On it the half-disappeared inscription: "ASSEMBLY BUILDING". Along the length of the house four bays on the upper storey. The side facades have a crowning of wooden gutters on carved gutter brackets. The original windows and doors are replaced. On the upper storey T-windows. At the rear of the assembly hall a single-storey brick extension with a flat roof.
Valuation.
The Boerenbond building is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical significance as an example of the socio-economic development of agriculture in North Brabant and as an example of the typological development of the association building.
