"Heyacker". DIRECTEURSWONING van de TUCHTSCHOOL, Rijksinrichting voor jongens, gelegen links van het hoofdgebouw. Ontwerp uit 1904-'05 van rijksbouwmeester Willem Cornelis Metzelaar.
Omschrijving
De tweelaagse dienstwoning voor de directeur, in architectuur spiegelbeeldig aan de onderwijzerswoning, heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond onder uitkragend chaletachtig dak belegd met rode geglazuurde Friese pannen. Het dak heeft op de kop gesneden halfronde houten schijnspanten steunend op consoles. Eigen voordeur aan het plein en een verbindingsgang onder plat dak naar het hoofdgebouw. De blinde achtergevel van de dienstwoningen grenst aan ommuurde luchtplaatsen. Inwendig onder andere een kamer-en-suite. Centraal in de woning een trap met schalmgat, leuning met wrong en balustrade met gedraaide balusters. De directeurswoning links van het hoofdgebouw is hoger opgetrokken dan die van de hoofdonderwijzer. Bovendien heeft de directeurswoning aan de kant van de weg een uitgebouwde serre met erboven een balkon. Het opgaande werk van het hoofdgebouw, dienstwoningen en bijgebouwen bestaat uit paarsrode machinale baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband afgewisseld door horizontale rode banden met toepassing van natuursteen voor basement, dorpels en sluitstenen. Muuropeningen met segmentbogen. Houten kozijnen met samengestelde negenruits vensters.

Description
The two-storey service dwelling for the director, in architecture a mirror image of the schoolmaster's dwelling, has a rectangular floor plan under a projecting chalet-like roof laid with red glazed Frisian tiles. The roof has half-round wooden false roof-trusses cut at the head and resting on consoles. Its own front door facing the square and a connecting corridor under a flat roof to the main building. The blind rear facade of the service dwellings borders enclosed exercise yards. Internally, among other things, a room-and-suite. Central in the dwelling a staircase with a stairwell, handrail with twist and balustrade with turned balusters. The director's dwelling to the left of the main building is built higher than that of the head schoolmaster. Moreover, the director's dwelling has a built-out conservatory at the road side with a balcony above it. The masonry of the main building, service dwellings and outbuildings consists of purplish-red machined brick laid in running bond alternated by horizontal red bands with the use of natural stone for basement, lintels and voussoirs.
