Inleiding
KETELHUIS in de noordoostelijke hoek van het terrein van tuindersbedrijf Sonnehoeck. Op het terrein bevinden zich twee nagenoeg identieke ketelhuizen (standaardtype) met schoorsteenpijpen, stammend uit het tweede kwart van de twintigste eeuw.
Omschrijving
Het ketelhuis is opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond betonsteen onder een zadeldak. Het ketelhuis heeft een opgeklampte deur en de nog oorspronkelijke stookinrichting. De schoorsteenpijp, opgetrokken in rode baksteen, heeft net onder de top uitgemetselde randen. Iets lager bevindt zich een uitgemetselde zuilring.
Waardering
Het ketelhuis is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als kenmerkend gebouwtype van een tuinderscomplex en derhalve als herinnering aan de Westlandse tuinbouw, die zowel regionaal als nationaal van grote betekenis is.

BOILERHOUSE in the north-eastern corner of the terrain of market garden enterprise Sonnehoeck. On the terrain there are two nearly identical boilerhouses (standard type) with chimney pipes, dating from the second quarter of the twentieth century.
Description
The boilerhouse is erected on a rectangular floor plan concrete brick beneath a gabled roof. The boilerhouse has a clamped door and the still original furnace installation. The chimney pipe, erected in red brick, has embossed edges just below the top. Slightly lower there is an embossed collar ring.

The boilerhouse is of general interest because of its cultural-historical value as a characteristic building type of a market garden complex and therefore as a reminder of Westland horticulture, which was of great importance both regionally and nationally.
