Inleiding
KETELHUIS gelegen tussen twee kassen in de noordwestelijke hoek van het terrein van het tuindersbedrijf Sonnehoeck. Op het terrein bevinden zich twee nagenoeg identieke ketelhuizen (standaardtype) met schoorsteenpijpen, stammend uit de eerste helft van de twintigste eeuw.
Omschrijving
Het ketelhuis is opgetrokken in betonsteen op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een zadeldak. Het ketelhuis heeft een opgeklampte deur en nog de oorspronkelijke stookinrichting. De schoorsteenpijp, opgetrokken in rode baksteen, heeft net onder de top uitgemetselde randen. Iets lager bevindt zich een uitgemetselde zuilring.
Waardering
Het ketelhuis is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als kenmerkend gebouwtype van een tuinderscomplex en derhalve als herinnering aan de Westlandse tuinbouw, die zowel regionaal als nationaal van grote betekenis is.

BOILER HOUSE located between two glasshouses in the north-western corner of the grounds of the horticultural enterprise Sonnehoeck. On the grounds there are two nearly identical boiler houses (standard type) with chimney stacks, dating from the first half of the twentieth century.

The boiler house is constructed in concrete brick on a rectangular ground plan under a gabled roof. The boiler house has a clamped door and still has the original firing installation. The chimney stack, constructed in red brick, has mortared edges just below the top. Somewhat lower there is a mortared cylindrical collar ring.
