Inleiding
VARKENSSTAL behorend bij het boerderijcomplex 'Mariahoeve', in 1933 in de stijl van de Delftse School, ontworpen door de Delftse architect ir. M. Gerritzen.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaande éénlaags schuur op rechthoekig grondplan onder een rietgedekt iets overstekend schilddak met rode nokvorsten. De schuur is opgetrokken uit rode baksteen (kruisverband).
In het midden van de zuidelijke langsgevel bevindt zich een opgeklampte deur met klein keperboogvormig ruitje, geflankeerd door twee segmentboogvormig gietijzeren stalvensters met decoratieve roedenverdeling. De noordelijke langsgevel heeft links een opgeklampte deur.

De VARKENSTAL is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang als onderdeel van een typerende Delftse Schoolboerderij van het kop-hals-romptype uit de jaren'30 van de 20ste eeuw. Het bezit ensemblewaarde door de ruimtelijke, architectonische en functionele samenhang met de overige complexonderdelen. Freestanding single-storey shed on rectangular ground plan under a thatched slightly overhanging hipped roof with red ridge cresting. The shed is built of red brickwork (cross-bond).
In the centre of the southern long facade is a clamped door with small herringbone-arched pane, flanked by two segmental-arched cast-iron stable windows with decorative glazing bars. The northern long facade has a clamped door on the left.
Valuation
The PIG STY is of general cultural-historical importance as part of a typical Delft School farmstead of the head-neck-body type from the 1930s of the 20th century. It possesses ensemble value through the spatial, architectural and functional coherence with the other complex components. There is a high degree of intactness of both main form, material use and detailing of the exterior.
