Inleiding
WAGENSCHUUR, als onderdeel van en daterend uit de bouwtijd van het boerderijcomplex 'Modelhoeve'. De schuur is ten oosten van de boerderij gelegen.
Omschrijving
Vrijstaande éénlaags schuur op een langgerekte rechthoekige plattegrond onder een overstekend zadeldak met gesmoorde kruispannen. De nokrichting staat haaks op het woongedeelte van de boerderij. De grotendeels symmetrisch ingedeelde gevels zijn opgetrokken uit grauwe baksteen (kruisverband) met een iets uitkragend gemetselde, door een rollaag afgedekt trasraam. De beide langsgevels zijn deels voorzien van wit geschilderd pseudo-vakwerk met een travee-indeling van ongelijke breedte. Onder de daklijst bevinden zich kleine rechthoekige vensters. Bij de rechter langsgevel hebben de beide buitenste traveeën een identieke geleding met andreaskruisen. Het middendeel bestaat uit vier deuren, waaronder één inrijdeur en drie deuren met bovenlicht, van elkaar gescheiden door blinde traveeën. De geleding van de linker langsgevel bestaat in het midden uit vier smalle rechthoekige blinde velden met links daarvan drie en rechts vier traveeën met andreaskruisen.
De beide kopgevels zijn symmetrisch ingedeelde puntgevels. De meer representatieve kopgevel aan de noordzijde heeft sierspante. Op de begane grond zijn twee segmentboogvormige gietijzeren stalvensters met roedenverdeling geplaats en in de geveltop een klein rond gietijzeren venster.
Van de blinde achtergevel (zuid) is de geveltop voorzien van houten beschot met met geschubde onderrand.
Waardering
De wagenschuur is architectuur- en cultuurhistorisch van algemeen belang als bijgebouw bij een relatief zeldzaam en vroeg voorbeeld van een op experimentele basis opgezette boerderij uit het laatste kwart van de 19de eeuw.
De wagenschuur is in hoge mate gaaf in zowel het in- als exterieur.
Van ensemblewaarde in relatie door de onderlinge ruimtelijke en functionele samenhang met de andere complexonderdelen.

WAGON BARN, as part of and dating from the construction period of the farm complex 'Modelhoeve'. The barn is situated to the east of the farmhouse.
Description
Detached single-storey barn on an elongated rectangular ground plan under an overhanging gabled roof with hipped purlins. The ridge direction is perpendicular to the residential part of the farmhouse. The largely symmetrically arranged facades are constructed of grey brick (Flemish bond) with a slightly projecting mortared, moulding-covered rubble course. Both side walls are partly provided with whitewashed pseudo-timber framing with unequal-width bay divisions. Below the eaves are small rectangular windows. At the right side wall, the two outer bays have identical articulation with St. Andrew's crosses. The central section consists of four doors, including one cart door and three doors with fanlights, separated from each other by blind bays. The articulation of the left side wall consists in the middle of four narrow rectangular blind fields with to the left three and to the right four bays with St. Andrew's crosses.
Both gable ends are symmetrically articulated pointed gables. The more representative gable end on the north side has decorative rafters. On the ground floor two segmental-arch cast-iron stable windows with glazing bars are placed and in the gable top a small round cast-iron window.
The blind rear wall (south) has a wooden boarded gable top with scalloped lower edge.
Valuation
The wagon barn is of general architectural and cultural-historical importance as an outbuilding belonging to a relatively rare and early example of an experimentally established farmhouse from the last quarter of the 19th century.
The wagon barn is highly intact in both interior and exterior.
Of ensemble value in relation to the mutual spatial and functional coherence with the other complex components.
