Inleiding
LANDBOUWSCHUUR, als onderdeel van het boerderijcomplex 'Modelhoeve', die vooral als korenschuur is gebruikt, stamt uit de bouwtijd van het complex (1883) en is uitgevoerd in een Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant waarin (pseudo)vakwerk. De schuur staat op het achtererf, ten zuiden van de boerderij.
Omschrijving
Grote houten schuur op rechthoekig grondplan onder een zadeldak met gesmoorde kruispannen. De nokrichting ligt evenwijdig aan die van het woongedeelte van de boerderij. Boven een gemetselde plint van grauwe baksteen zijn de wanden opgetrokken van rabatdelen. De linker kopgevel (oost) en de langsgevel aan voorzijde (noord) hebben een travee-indeling van respectievelijk drie en zes eenheden, bestaande uit een geometrisch patroon van horizontale, verticale en diagopnale steunbalken, De rechter kopgevel (west) en langsgevel aan achterzijde (zuid) zijn voorzien van een verticaal beschot. Het beschot van de geveltoppen is voorzien van een geschulpte onderrand. In de geveltoppen, die zijn afgewerkt met eenvoudige makelaars, bevindt zich één keperboogvormig venster met verticale vierruits roedenverdeling. De langsgevel aan de voorzijde (zuid) heeft aan weerszijden een dubbele wagendeur (met steekkap) met daarboven een aan de onderzijde geschulpt beschot. De langsgevel aan de achterzijde (noord) heeft alleen aan de rechterzijde één dubbele deur. Aan de linker zijde bevindt zich een houten aanbouw met deels open verticaal beschot onder een lessenaarsdak met gesmoorde kruispannen.
In het interieur is de oorspronkelijke spantconstructie aanwezig.
Waardering
De landbouwschuur is architectuur- en cultuurhistorisch van algemeen belang als bijgebouw in een Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant bij een zeldzaam en vroeg voorbeeld van een rijk uitgevoerde boerderij in Eclectische stijl uit het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw.
Van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege de herkenbare vormgeving met pseudo-vakwerk en vanwege de hoge mate van gaafheid van zowel het in- als exterieur.

AGRICULTURAL BARN, as part of the farm complex 'Modelhoeve', which was used mainly as a grain barn, dates from the construction period of the complex (1883) and is executed in an Arts and Crafts traditional building style with (pseudo)timber framing. The barn stands on the rear courtyard, to the south of the farmhouse.
Description
Large wooden barn on a rectangular ground plan under a gabled roof with hipped purlins. The ridge direction runs parallel to that of the residential part of the farmhouse. Above a mortared plinth of grey brick, the walls are constructed of half-timbered panels. The left gable end (east) and the side wall at the front (north) have a bay division of three and six units respectively, consisting of a geometric pattern of horizontal, vertical and diagonal bracing beams. The right gable end (west) and side wall at the rear (south) are provided with vertical boarding. The boarding of the gable tops is provided with a scalloped lower edge. In the gable tops, which are finished with simple corbels, there is one basket-arch window with vertical four-pane glazing bars. The side wall at the front (south) has on either side a double cart door (with pitched roof) with above it boarding scalloped at the lower edge. The side wall at the rear (north) has only on the right side one double door. On the left side there is a wooden extension with partly open vertical boarding under a lean-to roof with hipped purlins.
In the interior the original roof truss structure is present.
Valuation
The agricultural barn is of general architectural and cultural-historical importance as an outbuilding in Arts and Crafts traditional building style belonging to a rare and early example of an elaborately executed farmhouse in Eclectic style from the last quarter of the nineteenth century.
Of architectural-historical importance because of the recognizable form with pseudo-timber framing and because of the high degree of integrity of both the interior and exterior.
Of ensemble value because of the mutual spatial and functional coherence with the other complex components.
