Inleiding
De LANGGEVELBOERDERIJ Grote Bottel 10 dateert in de kern waarschijnlijk uit omstreeks 1850 maar is omstreeks 1905 verbouwd. De boerderij is gesitueerd parallel aan de Grote Bottel. Belangrijk zijn het zestal knotlinden, gesitueerd voor de straatgevel.
Omschrijving
De boerderij heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en telt één bouwlaag. Het geheel wordt gedekt door een langgerekt wolfdak, dat omstreeks 1905 in oostelijke richting is verlengd. Het dak is gedekt met riet, maar heeft op verschillende plaatsen een voet van golfplaat (achtergevel), dan wel tuile-du-nord pannen (woonhuis) of oud-Hollandse pannen (westelijke staart). Op de nok van het dak staat ter hoogte van het woonhuis een schoorsteen. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in baksteen. Het oudste deel van de boerderij is opgemetseld in handvormbaksteen, in tegenstelling tot het woonhuis. Alle gevels zijn voorzien van muurankers. Ter plaatse van de deel zijn deze, in correspondentie met de lage achtergevel, op geringe hoogte aangebracht. De straatgevel van het woonhuis heeft een a-symmetrische indeling met, ter linkerzijde van het portiek met voordeur en bovenlicht, drie beluikte T-schuifvensters met achtdelig bovenlicht, en ter rechterzijde één dergelijk venster. Ook in de oostelijke zijgevel bevindt zich een dergelijk schuifvenster. Het bedrijfsdeel heeft aangrenzend aan het woonhuis in de stalgevel een opgeklampte deur met vierruits vensters; verder westelijk een paar opgeklampte deeldeuren, alsmede twee opgeklampte inrijpoorten naar de karschop. In de westelijke gevel is een drietal kleine stalvensters. De achtergevel is laag aangezet en voorzien van verschillende lage opgeklampte deuren, in afwisseling met enkele kleine beluikte stalvensters.

Het object is van belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van een typologische ontwikkeling; heeft bijzondere betekenis wegens de situering, verbonden met de ontwikkeling van de streek; is van belang wegens de architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur.

The LONG-GABLED FARMHOUSE Grote Bottel 10 dates in its core probably from around 1850 but was rebuilt around 1905. The farmhouse is situated parallel to the Grote Bottel. Important are the six pollarded linden trees, situated in front of the street facade.
Description
The farmhouse has a rectangular floor plan and comprises one storey. The whole is covered by an elongated half-hipped roof, which was extended eastward around 1905. The roof is tiled with thatch, but has at various locations a base of corrugated sheeting (rear facade), alternatively tuile-du-nord tiles (residential house) or old-Dutch tiles (western wing). On the ridge of the roof at the height of the residential house stands a chimney. The facades are constructed in brick. The oldest part of the farmhouse is built in hand-moulded brick, in contrast to the residential house. All facades are provided with ornamental wall anchors. At the location of the barn these are, in correspondence with the low rear facade, fitted at low height. The street facade of the residential house has an asymmetrical layout with, to the left side of the porch with front door and fanlight, three shuttered T-sash windows with eight-light fanlight, and to the right side one such window. Also in the eastern side facade is such a sash window. The business section has, adjacent to the residential house in the stable facade, a braced door with four-light windows; further westward a pair of braced barn doors, as well as two braced entrance gates to the cart shed. In the western facade are three small stable windows. The rear facade is set low and provided with various low braced doors, alternating with some small shuttered stable windows.
Valuation
The object is of importance as a distinctive expression of a typological development; has special significance because of its siting, connected to the development of the region; is of importance because of the architectural integrity of the exterior.
