TUINAANLEG met een hekwerk op bakstenen plint van de openbare weg gescheiden. Het terrein bezit door de ligging op de westflank van de Amersfoortse Berg tamelijk grote hoogteverschillen. Hiermee is door een tweedeling in de tuinaanleg bewust rekening gehouden. Het grootste deel van de tuin bestaat uit een landschappelijke aanleg. Open plekken, zoals grasvelden, worden door meer besloten gedeelten, bestaande uit boom- en struikpartijen, afgewisseld. Dit, vooral aan de randen van het perceel gelegen, gedeelte vormt de overgang naar de aan de westzijde gelegen Vlasakkers. Een vrijwel rechte laan loopt vanaf het midden in de oostzijde van het terrein gelegen toegangshek naar het hoofdgebouw. Voor het hoofdgebouw is een rechthoekige, verdiept aangelegde vijverpartij gelegen, bereikbaar via een trappartij. De vijver wordt omgeven door grasvlakken met op de helling borders met planten en sierboompjes. Rondom het gehele gebouw bevindt zich een strook met tegels, zich op meerdere plaatsen verbredend tot schoolpleinen.
Het hekwerk aan de straatzijden bestaat uit een uit gele machinale bakstenen gemetselde plint met ezelsrug met rechthoekige pijlers waartussen telkens drie rechthoekige koperen hekdelen zijn opgehangen. De koperen dragers zijn bevestigd in natuurstenen blokken. De toegangspoort wordt gemarkeerd door extra hoge pijlers, waarop koperen buitenverlichting is geplaatst. Bij de toegangspoort is een kleine tuinmanswoning gebouwd, die van latere datum is.
Aan de noordzijde van het gebouwencomplex bevindt zich binnen de landschappelijk aangelegde tuin een kleine, bij het klooster behorende begraafplaats - met graven van na 1945 - die echter niet voor bescherming in aanmerking komt.
Waardering
De tuinaanleg met hekwerk van Onze Lieve Vrouw ter Eem is van algemeen belang vanwege zijn architectuurhistorische waarde als gaaf voorbeeld van een tuin, ontworpen in de gemengde tuinstijl, alsmede als onderdeel van het ensemble waartoe mede het klooster- en scholencomplex en de rectorswoning behoren.

GARDEN LAYOUT with a fence on a brick plinth separated from the public road. The terrain possesses considerable height differences due to its location on the western flank of the Amersfoortse Berg. This has been deliberately taken into account through a division in the garden layout. The largest part of the garden consists of a landscaped arrangement. Open spaces, such as lawns, are alternated with more enclosed sections, consisting of groups of trees and shrubs. This section, located particularly at the edges of the plot, forms the transition to the Vlasakkers located on the west side. An almost straight avenue runs from the access gate located in the middle of the east side of the terrain towards the main building. In front of the main building is a rectangular, sunken pond, accessible via a flight of steps. The pond is surrounded by lawns with borders of plants and ornamental trees on the slope. Around the entire building is a strip of tiles, widening in several places into school playgrounds.
The fence on the street sides consists of a plinth built from yellow machine-made bricks with a coping and rectangular pillars between which three rectangular copper fence sections are hung each time. The copper supports are fixed in natural stone blocks. The access gate is marked by extra tall pillars, on which copper external lighting has been placed. At the access gate a small gardener's lodge has been built, which is of a later date.
On the north side of the building complex, within the landscaped garden, there is a small cemetery belonging to the monastery - with graves from after 1945 - which, however, does not qualify for protection.

The garden layout with fence of Onze Lieve Vrouw ter Eem is of general interest because of its architectural-historical value as a well-preserved example of a garden, designed in the mixed garden style, as well as as part of the ensemble to which the monastery and school complex and the rector's residence also belong.
