Omschrijving
Op de begraafplaats is een aantal (natuur)stenen en houten stèles, getoogd of rechthoekig van vorm aanwezig. De houten stèles zijn opgericht door joodse families die een natuurstenen grafmonument niet konden betalen. Alle stèles zijn voorzien van Hebreeuwse opschriften al dan niet met in het Nederlands gestelde teksten.
Waardering
De stèles op de Israëlitische begraafplaats zijn van algemeen belang vanwege cultuurhistorische waarde, waarbij hun collectieve betekenis het grootst is vanwege materiaalgebruik en situering binnen de aanleg van de begraafplaats. De houten stèles kunnen als zeldzaam en kwetsbaar voorbeeld worden genoemd binnen de funeraire geschiedenis en binnen de joodse geschiedenis.

On the burial ground is a number of (natural) stone and wooden stelae, arched or rectangular in form present. The wooden stelae were erected by Jewish families who could not afford a natural stone grave monument. All stelae are provided with Hebrew inscriptions, whether or not accompanied by texts in Dutch.
