Omschrijving
HERDENKINGSMUUR, op circa zestig meter ten noorden van en evenwijdig aan het hoofdgebouw staat als onderdeel van het GEDENKTEKEN van het Belgenmonument deze herdenkingsmuur.
De lange bakstenen voorgevel wordt door pylonen geleed. Als decoratie is aan de bovenzijde van de muur een vijf lagen hoge muizentandlijst aangebracht. In het middelste veld bevindt zich, uitgevoerd in baksteen, het jaartal 1917. De velden links en rechts zijn teksten in het Frans en het Nederlands aangebracht, uitgevoerd in natuursteen: Gastvrijheid (Hospalité), Opbeuring (Réconfort) en Onderwijs (Enseignement).
Aan de achterzijde zijn allegorische voorstellingen naar ontwerp van Hildo Krop zijn aangebracht met als thema de Droefheid, uitgebeeld door links de Geïnterneerde, in het midden de Vlucht naar Nederland en rechts de Slachtoffers van de oorlog. Bloembakken vormen de overgang van muur naar tuin.
De zijgevels van de muur worden gevormd door losstaande pylonen, besloten door een bakstenen decoratie.

De herdenkingsmuur is als onderdeel van het Belgenmonument op de Amersfoortse Berg van algemeen belang vanwege zijn architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als belangwekkend onderdeel van het complex bezit het tevens sociaalhistorische waarde.

MEMORIAL WALL, at approximately sixty metres to the north of and parallel to the main building, stands as part of the MEMORIAL of the Belgian Monument this memorial wall.
The long brick front facade is articulated by pylons. As decoration, a five-layer high dentil course is attached to the top of the wall. In the central field, executed in brick, is the year 1917. The fields to the left and right bear texts in French and Dutch, executed in natural stone: Hospitality (Hospitalité), Lifting up (Réconfort) and Education (Enseignement).
On the rear side are allegorical representations after designs by Hildo Krop with the theme of Sorrow, depicted on the left by the Interned, in the centre the Flight to the Netherlands and on the right the Victims of war. Planters form the transition from wall to garden.
The side facades of the wall are formed by freestanding pylons, concluded by a brick decoration.
Valuation
The memorial wall as part of the Belgian Monument on the Amersfoortse Berg is of general importance because of its architectural and cultural-historical value as a significant component of the complex; it also possesses social-historical value.
