Tot het landgoed Nimmerdor behoort een DUIVENTIL met neogotische kenmerken, dat markant gelegen is midden op het open terrein van een weiland. De duiventil is geplaatst in een zichtas van het landhuis en is, als opvolger van een 18de-eeuwse voorganger, vermoedelijk gebouwd omstreeks 1880. De duiventil is in 1990 gerestaureerd.
Het gesloten gedeelte van de houten duiventil heeft een zeshoekige plattegrond. Dit volume rust op zes houten hoekstijlen van circa acht meter lengte, die op stenen poeren zijn geplaatst. Deze staanders zijn door korbelen met elkaar verbonden, waarbij de driehoekige openingen de vorm van traceringen met toten bezitten. Op de verbindingspunten zijn culotten van gewelfknopen aangebracht. Elke zijde van het gesloten volume is voorzien van twee verticaal beschotte velden, die zowel aan de onder- als aan de bovenzijde zijn voorzien van kruisvormige betimmeringen.
Boven het hoofdvolume, dat door een tentdak met zinken losanges wordt besloten, bevindt zich een smaller zeshoekig volume met eveneens een tentdak met zinken losanges. Een hoge pinakel vormt hiervan de beeïndiging. In het smalle volume bevinden zich per zijde drie maal drie invlieg-openingen, die alle op houten consoles rusten. Hierboven is per veld een kruisvormige betimmering aangebracht.
Het interieur van de duiventil, bestaande uit houten nestkastjes, is nog geheel intact en biedt plaats aan ruim 500 nesten.
Waardering
De duiventil op het landgoed Nimmerdor is van algemeen belang vanwege zijn architectuurhistorisch belang als gaaf en relatief zeldzaam voorbeeld van een duiventil met neogotische kenmerken. Het object heeft een grote ensemblewaarde als markant element van het landgoed en in relatie tot de overige onderdelen van het landgoed.

Description
To the estate Nimmerdor belongs a DOVECOTE with neogothic characteristics, markedly situated in the middle of the open terrain of a meadow. The dovecote is placed in a sight line of the manor house and is, as successor to an 18th-century predecessor, presumed to have been built around 1880. The dovecote was restored in 1990.
The closed section of the wooden dovecote has a hexagonal plan. This volume rests on six wooden corner posts of approximately eight metres in length, which are placed on stone footings. These uprights are connected to one another by corbels, whereby the triangular openings have the form of tracery with tassels. At the connection points culots of vault bosses are placed. Each side of the closed volume is furnished with two vertically boarded fields, which are furnished with cross-shaped timber panels on both the lower and upper side.
Above the main volume, which is enclosed by a tent roof with zinc lozenges, is a narrower hexagonal volume with likewise a tent roof with zinc lozenges. A tall pinnacle forms its termination. In the narrow volume are per side three times three flight openings, all of which rest on wooden consoles. Above this, per field a cross-shaped timber panel is placed.
The interior of the dovecote, consisting of wooden nesting boxes, is entirely intact and provides space for well over 500 nests.
Valuation
The dovecote on the estate Nimmerdor is of general importance because of its architectural historical significance as an intact and relatively rare example of a dovecote with neogothic characteristics. The object has great ensemble value as a striking element of the estate and in relation to the other components of the estate.
