Omschrijving
Inleiding.
WOONHUIS aan de Wolput, gebouwd - blijkens gevelsteen - in 1874. De architectuur vertoont elementen van het Eclecticisme.
Omschrijving.
Bakstenen pand op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een plat dak met een dakschild, aan de voorzijde gedekt met leien. De éénlaagse voorgevel is vijf traveeën breed en heeft een gepleisterde kroonlijst voorzien van consoles ter ondersteuning van de gootlijst. De gevel is symmetrisch opgezet met een deur in het midden, aan weerszijden daarvan zijn twee zesruitsramen met voorzetramen geplaatst. Deur en ramen zijn voorzien van een gestucte omlijsting met kuif. In de voorgevel naast de deur is een gevelsteen aangebracht, hierop is het opschrift "1874 C.M.A. SCHOENMAKERS" leesbaar. Boven de deur een gemetselde dakkapel met siervazen. Aan de linkerkant heeft het pand een éénlaagse aanbouw uit circa 1910. Dit gedeelte van het huis is uitgevoerd in rode strengperssteen met witte speklagen en heeft een schilddak, gedekt met dakleer. Boven deuren en ramen zijn hardstenen lateien aangebracht. In de voorgevel een raam en openslaande deur. In de bovenlichten is glas-in-lood gezet, hierin bloemmotieven in Art-Nouveau stijl.
De rechterzijgevel heeft twee lagen. De begane grond heeft een blinde muur, op de verdieping zijn drie getoogde T-schuiframen aangebracht. In het interieur is de indeling in grote lijnen bewaard gebleven.
Voor de gevel, aan de straatkant is een smal stoepje met reliëftegels, in het midden in dambordpatroon, gelegd.
Waardering.
Het huis is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling. Het heeft architectuurhistorisch belang wegens waarde voor de architectuurgeschiedenis en wegens materiaalgebruik en ornamentiek. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

Description.
Brick building on a rectangular plan under a flat roof with a roof shield, covered on the front with slate. The single-storey front façade is five bays wide and has a plastered cornice with consoles supporting the gutter moulding. The façade is symmetrically laid out with a door in the centre, with two six-light windows with storm frames placed on either side. Door and windows are provided with a stuccoed frame with hood moulding. In the front façade next to the door a date stone has been placed, on which the inscription "1874 C.M.A. SCHOENMAKERS" is legible. Above the door a brick dormer with ornamental vases. On the left side the building has a single-storey extension dating from circa 1910. This part of the house is executed in red pressed brick with white pointing courses and has a hipped roof, covered with roofing felt. Above doors and windows hardstone lintels have been placed. In the front façade a window and french doors. In the fanlights decorative glass with floral motifs in Art Nouveau style has been inserted.
The right side façade has two storeys. The ground floor has a blind wall, on the first floor three arched sash windows have been placed. In the interior the layout has been largely preserved.
In front of the façade, at the street side, a narrow stoep with relief tiles has been laid, in the middle in a chequerboard pattern.

The house is of general importance. It has cultural-historical importance as an expression of socio-economic and typological development.
