Inleiding.
LOOIERIJ, thans in gebruik als schuur. Gebouwd in de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw.
Omschrijving.
Tweelaagse looierij op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder zadeldak. Het dak is gedekt met Oudhollandse pannen.
De begane grond en kopse gevels zijn uitgevoerd in baksteen, de bovenste laag van de lange gevels is uitgevoerd in hout met beweegbare luiken. Rechts zijn in de looierij kleine kamers (voormalige kantoren ?) afgescheiden. Verder een grote ruimte met onder meer nog ingemetselde looibakken. In de gevel verschillende ramen met kleine roedenverdeling en houten, opgeklampte poorten.
Waardering.
De voormalige looierij is van algemeen belang. Het object is van cultuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van een sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling en heeft ensemblewaarde als essentieel onderdeel van het geheel. De looierij is van belang vanwege de functionele en typologische zeldzaamheid.

Two-storey tannery on a rectangular plan under a gabled roof. The roof is covered with Old Dutch tiles.
The ground floor and gable walls are executed in brick, the upper storey of the long facades is executed in wood with movable shutters. On the right small rooms (former offices?) are partitioned off in the tannery. Further a large space with amongst other things still embedded tanning vats. In the facade various windows with small glazing bars and wooden, mortised doors.
Valuation.
The former tannery is of general importance. The object is of cultural-historical importance as an example of a socio-economic and typological development and has ensemble value as an essential component of the whole. The tannery is of importance because of its functional and typological rarity.
