Inleiding.
Eénlaags DIENSTGEBOUW, van het kasteel. In 1910 opgehoogd met een verdieping. Als drukkerij nog steeds in gebruik.
Het gebouw ligt tegenover het dienstgebouw dat thans aan het klooster is vastgebouwd.
Omschrijving.
Het bakstenen gebouw heeft een gepleisterde plint en bestaat uit twee delen. Een tweelaagse bouwmassa op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een zadeldak. Tegen de westkant staat een éénlaags blokvormige aanbouw onder schilddak. De daken zijn gedekt met Oud Hollandse pannen. Op de begane grond van het tweelaagse deel zijn de oorspronkelijke ramen en deur vervangen. Op de verdieping bevinden zich T-ramen met in de bovenlichten een kleine roedenverdeling. Boven deze ramen zijn segmentbogen aangebracht. In het éénlaagse deel zijn enkele smalle hoge ramen aanwezig. Waardering Het dienstgebouw is van algemeen belang. The brick building has a plastered plinth and consists of two parts. A two-storey building mass on a rectangular ground plan under a gabled roof. Against the west side stands a single-storey block-shaped extension under a hipped roof. The roofs are covered with Old Dutch tiles. On the ground floor of the two-storey part the original windows and door have been replaced. On the upper floor are T-windows with small glazing bars in the fanlights. Segment arches have been applied above these windows. In the single-storey section there are some narrow tall windows. Valuation The service building is of general importance. It has cultural-historical significance as an expression of a spiritual development. It has ensemble value as an essential part of a larger whole.
