Omschrijving
Inleiding.
Vrijstaand HERENHUIS, gebouwd omstreeks 1875 in een Eclectische stijl. Thans in gebruik als bankgebouw. Hiertoe werd het pand aan de achterzijde fors uitgebreid en inwendig tot een geheel gemaakt. De uitbreiding wordt niet beschermd.
Omschrijving.
Tweelaags bakstenen HERENHUIS onder een afgeplat schilddak op een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het dak is gedekt met gotische pannen.
De voorgevel is symmetrisch opgezet en heeft een gegroefd gepleisterde middenrisaliet en hoekpilasters, eveneens gegroefd. De voorgevel is voorzien van een hoge natuurstenen plint. Aan de bovenzijde is rondom een gepleisterde kroonlijst aangebracht. Op grote decoratieve consoles is een overstekende gootlijst geplaatst. De middenrisaliet is iets hoger opgetrokken en wordt bekroond door een gebogen fronton.
Op de begane grond is in de middenrisaliet de deur aangebracht, erboven een balkon met smeedijzeren hekwerk. Aan weerszijden van de risaliet zijn rechthoekige ramen in een gestucte omlijsting met kuif gevat.
De oorspronkelijke aanbouw tegen de linkerzijgevel is verdwenen. Zowel aan de voor- als aan de achterkant heeft deze gevel een half venster. Op de verdieping bevinden zich enkele rechthoekige ramen. Ook in de achtergevel, boven de aanbouw bevinden zich nog rechthoekige ramen. De rechterzijgevel heeft de éénlaagse aanbouw onder schilddak behouden. In dit oorspronkelijke koetshuis is verbouwd tot geldautomaat.
Voor het huis een natuurstenen stoepje met stoeppalen waartussen smeedijzeren kettingen zijn gehangen.
In het interieur verkeert de hal op de begane grond nog in oorspronkelijke staat. Deze hal heeft een hoog stucplafond met dekoratieve lijsten en rozet.
Waardering.
Het huis is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische bloei van de Langstraat. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde wegens materiaalgebruik en ornamentiek, waarbij vormen en details ontleend aan het stedelijk eclecticisme worden ingezet voor de uitdrukking van het zelfbewustzijn van de dorpse elite in de negentiende eeuw.

Two-storey brick GENTLEMAN'S HOUSE under a hipped roof on a rectangular floor plan. The roof is covered with Gothic tiles.
The front facade is set up symmetrically and has a fluted plastered central risalit and corner pilasters, also fluted. The front facade is provided with a high natural stone plinth. At the top a plastered cornice runs all around. An overhanging gutter moulding is placed on large decorative consoles. The central risalit is raised slightly higher and is crowned by a curved pediment.
On the ground floor the door is placed in the central risalit, above it a balcony with wrought-iron railings. On either side of the risalit are rectangular windows set in stuccoed surrounds with hoods.
The original outbuilding against the left side facade has disappeared. Both on the front and rear, this facade has a half window. On the upper storey there are several rectangular windows. Also in the rear facade, above the outbuilding, there are still rectangular windows. The right side facade has retained the single-storey outbuilding under hipped roof. In this original coach house, which has been converted into an automated teller machine.
In front of the house a natural stone step with bollards between which wrought-iron chains are hung.
