Inleiding.
Aan het linker laantje in de noordwestelijke hoek van de begraafplaats liggen de op het noordwesten georiënteerde grafmonumenten van de familie Bolsius. Het oudere FAMILIEGRAF is direct aan het laantje gelegen en dateert uit 1881. Stilistisch vertoont het invloeden van de Neo-Renaissance en een gematigde Neo-gotiek.
De familie Bolsius was van grote betekenis voor de welvaart en industriële ontwikkeling van Schijndel en omgeving. Onder leiding van de familie, wiens stamboom tot in de zestiende eeuw teruggaat en verschillende grote geleerden tot haar voorverwanten kan rekenen, kon onder meer de kaarsenindustrie zich ontwikkelen.
Omschrijving.
Het grafmonument beslaat een rechthoekige plattegrond. Naar het zuidoosten nemen de diverse onderdelen toe in hoogte. Een lage, omlopende hardstenen voetplaat wordt aan drie zijden deels afgesloten met een gefrijnde, overkragende en licht oplopende hardstenen dekplaat. Een tweede, licht op- en aflopende afdekplaat ligt met de nok precies op de as van het grafmonument. Deze plaat sluit in de breedte net niet aan bij de aan weerszijden lopende afdekplaat maar dekt in de lengte ongeveer de helft van de rechthoekige plattegrond af (het noordwestelijke deel).
Op de andere helft verheft zich op de middenas een met zes pijlertjes afgezette hardstenen basis, precies in het verlengde van voornoemde afdekplaat en van dezelfde breedte. De zich verjongende, in geometrische vormen gebeeldhouwde pijlertjes zijn onderling verbonden middels een koperen stang en omzomen een licht oplopende tombe die met haar hoofdeinde opgaat in het onderste deel van een haaks erop geplaatste, driedelige opstand. Op de vier zich verjongende zijden van het middendeel zijn witmarmeren plaquettes geschroefd. Het bovendeel heeft aan elke zijde een in reliëf gehouwen frontonachtige driehoek, via acroteriën met elkaar verbonden, met binnen het driehoekige veld twee gekruiste palm- of looftakken onder een kruisnimbus, symbolisch voor de Overwinning in de zin van de gelukkige voleinding van het leven. Deze opstand wordt bekroond met een kalkstenen sculptuur van een op een stapel rotsblokken staande vrouwenfiguur. Aan haar voeten een wapenschild met de tekst 'RUSTPLAATS FAMILIE BOLSIUS' en in haar rechterhand een (versoberd, bovenste arm afgebroken) kruis met de epitaaf 'IN HOC SIGNO VINCES'. De vrouwenfiguur, met lange golvende haren is blootvoets en draagt een lang gewaad met een als ceintuur geknoopt doek om haar middel.
Waardering.
Het familiegraf van de familie Bolsius is van algemeen belang.
Het object heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als bijzondere uitdrukking van de ontwikkeling van de rooms-katholieke grafcultuur aan het einde van de negentiende eeuw en van een sociale ontwikkeling. Het feit dat het hier gaat om de familie Bolsius verhoogt de lokale cultuurhistorische waarde. Daarnaast is het cultuurhistorisch waardevol vanwege de bijzondere uitdrukking van het type grafmonument. Het object bezit kunsthistorische waarde wegens de bijzondere opzet en de detaillering.

Introduction.
At the left lane in the northwestern corner of the cemetery lie the northeast-oriented grave monuments of the Bolsius family. The older FAMILY GRAVE is situated directly on the lane and dates from 1881. Stylistically it shows influences of Neo-Renaissance and a restrained Neo-Gothic.
The Bolsius family was of great importance for the prosperity and industrial development of Schijndel and its surroundings. Under the leadership of the family, whose family tree goes back to the sixteenth century and can count various great scholars among its ancestors, the candle industry among others was able to develop.
Description.
The grave monument occupies a rectangular plan. Towards the southeast the various components increase in height. A low, surrounding stone base plinth is partly closed off on three sides with a fretted, overhanging and slightly rising stone capping plate. A second, slightly rising and falling capping plate lies with its ridge precisely on the axis of the grave monument. This plate does not quite align in width with the capping plate running on both sides but covers in length approximately half of the rectangular plan (the northwestern part).
On the other half rises on the centre axis a stone base set off with six small pillars, precisely in line with the aforementioned capping plate and of the same width. The tapering small pillars, carved in geometric forms, are interconnected by means of a copper rod and enclose a slightly rising tomb which with its head end rises into the lower part of a perpendicular, three-part superstructure placed upon it. On the four tapering sides of the central section white marble plaques are screwed on. The upper part has on each side a fronton-like triangle carved in relief, connected via acroteria, with within the triangular field two crossed palm or foliage sprigs under a cross nimbus, symbolic of Victory in the sense of the happy fulfilment of life. This superstructure is crowned with a limestone sculpture of a female figure standing on a pile of stone blocks. At her feet a coat of arms with the text 'RUSTPLAATS FAMILIE BOLSIUS' and in her right hand a cross (simplified, upper arm broken off) with the epitaph 'IN HOC SIGNO VINCES'. The female figure, with long wavy hair, is barefoot and wears a long robe with a cloth tied as a girdle around her waist.

The object has cultural-historical values as a particular expression of the development of Roman Catholic burial culture at the end of the nineteenth century and of a social development.
