Inleiding.
Woonstalhuis van een BOERDERIJ, volgens een gedenksteen gebouwd in 1879 in Ambachtelijk-Traditionele stijl.
Omschrijving.
Langgerekt woonstalhuis, opgetrokken uit baksteen, onder met muldenpannen gedekt wolfdak. Het woongedeelte heeft aan de straatzijde drie traveeën, met links en rechts van de paneelvoordeur met gedeeld bovenlicht beluikte zesruits schuiframen. Naast de deur een gevelsteen met tekst: 'L. Bertens/ 4.10.1879'. In de rechter zijgevel een zesruits raam en op zolder twee raampjes. De gevel vertoont vlechtingen en gaat deels schuil achter het voormalige bakhuis. Het stalgedeelte heeft aan de straatzijde boogramen en getoogde dubbele opgeklampte staldeuren. In de zijgevel zesruits stalramen en een hooiluik met bovenlicht. Aan de achterzijde een kleine aanbouw uit ca. 1990 welke buiten de bescherming valt. In het voorhuis nog de oorspronkelijke indeling met voorhuis, kamer, kelder en keuken. Schouw met twee tegeltableaus en een gehoute bedstedewand met paneeldeuren. In de stal deels een klinkervloer. Onder de stalvloer een gierkelder.
Waardering.
Het woonstalhuis is van algemeen belang is. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische en geografische ontwikkeling van Midden-Brabant. Het woonstalhuis heeft betekenis als gaaf specimen van de ontwikkeling van het langgeveltype in de Meijerij in het laatste kwart van de negentiende eeuw. Het heeft architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de samenhang tussen exterieur en interieur, met name vanwege de authentieke schouw en bedstedewand. Het heeft ensemblewaarde vanwege de samenhang tussen de diverse onderdelen in relatie tot de erfinrichting, de beplanting en de directe landschappelijke omgeving. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

Elongated dwelling barn, constructed of brick, under a half-hipped roof covered with curved tiles. The residential part has three bays on the street side, with panelled front doors with divided fanlight flanked left and right by shuttered six-pane sash windows. Next to the door a gable stone with text: 'L. Bertens/ 4.10.1879'. In the right side gable a six-pane window and on the attic two small windows. The gable shows wattle work and is partially hidden behind the former bakehouse. The stable section has round-arch windows on the street side and arched double hinged stable doors. In the side gable six-pane stable windows and a hay door with fanlight. On the rear a small extension from c. 1990 which falls outside the protection. In the front house still the original layout with front room, chamber, cellar and kitchen. Fireplace with two tile tableaus and a boarded enclosed bed wall with panelled doors. In the stable partly a clinker-brick floor. Beneath the stable floor a manure cellar.
Evaluation.
The dwelling barn is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical importance as a particular expression of the socio-economic and geographical development of central Brabant. The dwelling barn has significance as a well-preserved specimen of the development of the long-gable type in the Meijerij in the last quarter of the nineteenth century. It has architectural-historical value because of the coherence between exterior and interior, in particular because of the authentic fireplace and enclosed bed wall. It has ensemble value because of the coherence between the various components in relation to the layout of the farmyard, the planting and the immediate landscape surroundings.
