Inleiding.
Aan de oostelijke zijde van de Kerkstraat, door een ondiepe voortuin van de openbare weg gescheiden, staat de R.K. PASTORIE met aangebouwd KOETSHUIS van de St. Antonius-Abt parochie. Het gebouw dateert, blijkens het jaartal dat op de kroonlijst is geschilderd, uit 1874 en is opgetrokken in een Eclectische stijl.
Omschrijving.
Het tweelaags gebouw heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond en wordt gedekt door een afgeplat schilddak met lei in Maasdekking. Op het bekronende plat dak staat een kleine smeedijzeren klokkestoel met windvaan. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in baksteen en alle bepleisterd. De strak symmetrische voorgevel telt vijf vensterassen, waarvan de middelste, met entreepartij, licht risaleert, evenals de twee lisenen, die de gevel afsluiten. Deze gestucte lisenen zijn voorzien van spaarvelden, waarin cirkelvormig lijstwerk. Horizontale geleding vindt plaats door de toepassing van een gepleisterde plint en hardstenen dorpellijsten. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een forse kroonlijst met tandlijst, waarop een geprofileerde goot op klossen. De vensters zijn alle getoogd en hebben een gestucte kuif. Op de begane grond zijn ze achtruits en voorzien van de oorspronkelijke houten rolluiken met kast, op de etage zesruits. De paneelvoordeur, voorzien van een omlijsting in stuc en bekroond door een lijst, is vervaardigd uit teakhout en heeft een eenvoudig bovenlicht en een hardstenen stoeptrede. In de zuidelijke zijgevel op de begane grond een zesruitsschuifvenster, voorzien van diefijzers. Er achter is een eenlaags koetshuis op rechthoekige grondslag aangebouwd, voorzien van een getoogde opgeklampte vleugelpoort. Het afgeplatte schilddak is gedekt met oud-Hollandse pannen. De achtergevel heeft eveneens twee bouwlagen en is voorzien van vijf vensterassen. De zesruits vensters op de etage zijn hier voorzien van de oorspronkelijke houten rolluiken met kast. Tegen deze gevel staat een serre-achtige eenlaags aanbouw op rechthoekige grondslag. De bovenlichten van de vensters zijn voorzien van gekleurd glas.
Waardering.

On the eastern side of Kerkstraat, separated from the public road by a shallow front garden, stands the R.K. PARSONAGE with attached COACH HOUSE of the St. Antonius Abbot parish. The building dates, as evidenced by the year painted on the cornice, from 1874 and is built in an Eclectic style.

The two-storey building has a rectangular floor plan and is covered by a flattened hipped roof with slate-in-Maas cladding. On the crowning flat roof stands a small wrought iron bell turret with weathervane. The façades are built in brick and all rendered. The strictly symmetrical front façade has five window axes, of which the middle one, with entrance section, projects slightly, as do the two pilasters, which close off the façade. These rendered pilasters are provided with sparing fields, in which circular moulding work. Horizontal articulation takes place through the application of a rendered plinth and stone sill mouldings. The façade is closed off by a substantial cornice with dogtooth moulding, on which a profiled gutter on brackets. The windows are all arched and have a rendered hood moulding. On the ground floor they are four-paned and provided with original wooden roller shutters with casing, on the first floor six-paned. The panelled front door, provided with a surround in stucco and crowned by a moulding, is made of teak wood and has a simple fanlight and a stone step. In the southern side façade on the ground floor a six-paned sash window, provided with theft-bars. Behind it a one-storey coach house on rectangular base is built on, provided with an arched fixed-hinged double door. The flattened hipped roof is covered with old-Dutch pantiles. The rear façade likewise has two storeys and is provided with five window axes. The six-paned windows on the first floor here are provided with original wooden roller shutters with casing. Against this façade stands a conservatory-like one-storey extension on rectangular base. The fanlights of the windows are provided with coloured glass.
Valuation.
The parsonage is of general interest because of the following values: cultural-historical values: the building is of importance as a special expression of the development of Catholicism in Central Brabant; architectural-historical values: it is of particular importance for the history of architecture and building techniques; it is of importance because of the special use of materials and ornamentation; ensemble values: the complex is of special significance for the appearance of the ribbon development typical of nineteenth-century church village development in North Brabant.
