Omschrijving
Inleiding.
In de nabijheid van de tegenwoordige snelweg Tilburg-Breda, niet ver buiten de bebouwde kom van Gilze gelegen, werd omstreeks 1832 met de bouw van deze in een Ambachtelijk-traditionele bouwtrant opgetrokken LANGGEVELBOERDERIJ begonnen. In de huidige verschijningsvorm dateert het pand voornamelijk uit de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw. Tegenwoordig heeft het pand voornamelijk een functie als woonboerderij. Aan de achterzijde bevindt zich een éénlaags aanbouw van recentere datum. Deze valt buiten de van rijkswege geldende bescherming.
Omschrijving.
De geheel vrijstaande langgevelboerderij is rechthoekig van vorm, heeft één bouwlaag en een zadeldak dat in de korte gevel aan de linker zijde is afgewolfd en gedekt is met riet. Het pand ligt direct aan de weg met de lengte-as parallel daaraan. Het rechter gedeelte is het woongedeelte, het linker gedeelte is het boerderijgedeelte. Het vroegere woongedeelte heeft een gecementeerde plint. Een deel van de oude stal is tegenwoordig bij de woning getrokken. In de nok van het dak boven het woongedeelte bevinden zich twee gemetselde schoorstenen. De voorgevel en de zijgevels zijn opgebouwd uit handvorm bakstenen in schoon metselwerk en staand verband. De kopgevels hebben vlechtingen. De achtergevel is grotendeels van hout en is opgebouwd uit gepotdekselde planken. Hierin bevindt zich in het dak een met riet gedekte, gekoppelde dakkapel. De deur- en vensteropeningen in de voorgevel zijn recht gesloten; de kozijnen, ramen, raamluiken en de deur zijn vervangen. De ramen hebben nu een twintigruits roedenverdeling. Naast de deur bevindt zich een polychrome tegel met Maria en kind. Zowel in de voorgevel als in de kopgevels bevinden zich ijzeren steekankers. Getoogde houten staldeur met aan elke zijde een klein venster met een spinnekopraam. In de kopgevel aan de linker zijde bevinden zich twee rechthoekige en twee halfronde venstertjes alsmede een houten hooiluik. In de kopgevel aan de rechterzijde zijn alle vensters recht gesloten en zijn alle kozijnen en vensters vervangen.
Waardering.
Het pand is van algemeen belang. Het pand heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van de sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling van de langgevelboerderij.
Het pand heeft ensemblewaarden wegens de hoogwaardige kwaliteit van de bebouwing en de historisch ruimtelijke relatie met de aanwezige groenvoorzieningen.

Introduction.
In the vicinity of the present-day motorway Tilburg-Breda, not far outside the built-up area of Gilze, construction of this LONG-GABLE FARMHOUSE, built in a craft-traditional building style, began around 1832. In its present appearance, the building dates mainly from the second half of the nineteenth century. Nowadays the building mainly functions as a residential farmhouse. At the rear there is a single-storey extension of more recent date. This falls outside the protection under national law.
Description.
The entirely detached long-gable farmhouse is rectangular in form, has one storey and a gabled roof which is hipped in the short gable on the left side and covered with thatch. The building stands directly on the road with its length-axis parallel to it. The right part is the residential section, the left part is the farm section. The former residential section has a cemented plinth. Part of the old stable is now attached to the dwelling. In the ridge of the roof above the residential section there are two brick chimneys. The front and side gables are constructed of hand-moulded bricks in fine masonry and running bond. The end gables have herringbone pattern. The rear gable is largely timber and is constructed of caulked planks. It contains in the roof a thatched coupled roof dormer. The door and window openings in the front gable are right-angled; the frames, windows, shutters and door have been replaced. The windows now have a twenty-pane glazing bars. Next to the door is a polychrome tile with Mary and child. Both in the front gable and in the end gables there are iron wall anchors. Arched timber stable door with a small window with a spindle-head frame on each side. In the end gable on the left side there are two rectangular and two semi-circular small windows as well as a timber hay-loft hatch. In the end gable on the right side all windows are right-angled and all frames and windows have been replaced.
Valuation.
The building is of general importance. The building has cultural-historical significance as a special expression of the socio-economic and typological development of the long-gable farmhouse.
The building has ensemble value due to the high quality of the construction and the historically spatial relationship with the existing green provisions.
