Completely detached WORK-DWELLING HOUSE built in 1903 precisely on the axis of the Alphenseweg in Neo-Renaissance forms. The property has retained its original function. Property on a rectangular ground plan of two storeys under a mansard with the ridge parallel to the Aalstraat and perpendicular to the Alphenseweg. On either side of the property there is, set back slightly, a single-storey extension. On the left this is elongated and runs through behind the main mass. On the right this extension is shorter and has the depth of the main mass. The main mass, built entirely symmetrically, consists of five bays, the central one being the entrance. The main mass and extensions are built up with a cemented plinth. The facades are of machine-made brick and laid in stretcher bond. A strikingly rich decorative element is formed by the four pilasters which stand both on the corners and frame the entrance section drawn through the roof slope and provided with a pedimented gable. The four identical windows in pairs in the front facade are straight-headed. They have continuous stone sills and are covered with an arched arch with stone diamond headers and springer stones. All windows have a T-frame with leaded glass with geometric motifs in the fanlight. Frieze with meander-shaped decoration of yellow brick. Stepped cornice on drops.
