Inleiding
De door de Duitsers in 1943 aangelegde OPEN OPSTELLING voor luchtdoelartillerie bevindt zich tussen Kazemat IV en Kazemat XIV op een heuvel. De houten opbouw is een na-oorlogse toevoeging en valt derhalve buiten de bescherming van rijkswege
Omschrijving
De achthoekige bakstenen opstelling is gebouwd op een betonnen funderingsplaat en heeft betonnen afdekplaten waaronder de munitie-nissen zijn gesitueerd. De toegangssparing is aan de oostzijde.
Waardering
De open opstelling voor luchtdoelartillerie in de eerste linie van de Stelling van Kornwerderzand is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch, krijgshistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang:

The OPEN EMPLACEMENT for anti-aircraft artillery laid out by the Germans in 1943 is located between Casemate IV and Casemate XIV on a hill. The wooden superstructure is a post-war addition and therefore falls outside national monument protection.

The octagonal brick emplacement is built on a concrete foundation slab and has concrete cover plates under which the ammunition niches are situated. The access opening is on the east side.
