De mitrailleurKAZEMAT XIII uit 1933 is gelegen in de achterhoede van de tweede linie en heeft een afmeting van ca. 12,5 x 19 m. Het trechtervormige, getrapte en van een vertanding met spoorstaven voorziene schietgat is gericht op het zuidwesten. Hierdoor heeft de kazemat een afgeschuinde hoek met tot gevolg dat rondom het schietgat de betondikte van de wand groter is. De keelzijde met twee ingangen en twee buitentoiletten is gelegen aan de westzijde. De kazemat is aan de oost-, zuid- en zuid-westzijde aangeaard, waardoor het schietgat niet meer vrij is. Van de camouflage-beschildering is weinig overgebleven.
INTERIEUR: de kazemat bevat een mitrailleurkamer, een observatiepost, een manschappenverblijf, een hulptelefoon-centrale en twee binnentoiletten. De pantserstalen binnendeuren zijn nog aanwezig. De kazemat is tegenwoordig volledig dichtgemetseld.

Kazemat XIII uit de Stelling van Kornwerderzand is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch, krijgshistorisch en architectuurhistorisch belang:

Description
The machine-gun CASEMATE XIII from 1933 is located in the rearguard of the second line and has dimensions of approximately 12.5 x 19 m. The funnel-shaped, stepped firing aperture equipped with a serration featuring track rails is directed towards the south-west. As a result, the casemate has a bevelled corner, which means that around the firing aperture the concrete thickness of the wall is greater. The gorge side with two entrances and two external toilets is located on the west side. The casemate is earthed on the east, south and south-west sides, as a result of which the firing aperture is no longer free. Little remains of the camouflage paintwork.
INTERIOR: the casemate contains a machine-gun room, an observation post, a personnel quarters, an auxiliary telephone exchange and two internal toilets. The armour-plated internal doors are still present. The casemate is currently completely bricked up.
Valuation
Casemate XIII from the Stelling van Kornwerderzand is of general cultural-historical, military-historical and architectural-historical importance:
- as a particular expression of a technical and typological development;
- on account of the significance of the object as an essential component of a larger whole that is of general cultural-historical, military-historical and architectural-historical importance;
