Inleiding:
AGGREGAAT-HUISJE uit ca. 1920. Het kasteel had een eigen electriciteitsvoorziening. In dit huisje stond het hiervoor benodigde aggregaat. Het huisje ligt noordelijk van het kasteel en oostelijk van de dienstwoning.
Omschrijving:
Het huisje heeft een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het opgaande werk bestaat uit handgevormde baksteen gemetseld in kruisverband. Hierop bevindt zich een zadeldak met lantaarn over de gehele nok en voorzien van houten windveren.
Het dak is belegd met oud-hollandse pannen. De topgevels zijn met houten delen beschoten.
Waardering:
Het aggregaat-huisje van de buitenplaats Kasteel Geldrop is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorisch belang als bijzondere uitdrukking van een culturele en sociaal-economische ontwikkeling, in het bijzonder de ontwikkeling en uitgroei van buitenplaatsen in de negentiende en vroege twintigste eeuw, uitgaande van een ouder kasteel met aangehorigheden. Het gebouw is tevens een vroeg en zeldzaam voorbeeld van de ontwikkeling van de electiciteitsvoorziening op het platteland.
