Omschrijving
De SCHOOLMEESTERSWONING is in rode baksteen opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond over één bouwlaag onder een met gesmoorde Tuile-du-Nord pannen gedekt wolfdak met zeeg; het dak steekt ver over met goten en windveren op gesneden klampen. Verder in beide grote dakhellingen een iets uitkragende gemetselde schoorsteen en twee dakkapellen met ieder drie zesruits ramen en platte overstekende daken op klampen; de zijkanten van de dakkapellen zijn bekleed met leien.
De gevels zijn met name geleed door kruisvensters boven gemetselde waterdorpels en onder segmentbogen. In het onderste deel van de vensters zesruits ramen, in het bovenste deel vierruits ramen; deels voorzien van halve luiken. Muurankers ter hoogte van de zoldervloer. Hardstenen drempels en stoepjes bij de ingangen.
In de voorgevel (west) bevindt zich een excentrisch geplaatste paneeldeur met vierruits raam in een eenvoudige kunststenen omlijsting en een rondboogvormig bovenlicht met gepleisterde sluit- en aanzetstenen. Aan weerszijden van de deur een kruisvenster. Boven de twee grote dakkapellen nog twee kleine vierruits dakkapellen. In de zuidelijke zijgevel op de begane grond twee openslaande twintigruits terrasdeuren, onder rondboogvormige tienruits bovenlichten. Links daarvan een kruisvenster, in de afgeknotte geveltop twee. In de achtergevel (oost) twee kruisvensters. Links daarvan een zestienruits venster met achtruits rondboogvormig bovenlicht, rechts daarvan een paneeldeur met negenruits raam. In de noordelijke zijgevel op de begane grond een zesruits venster en twee kleine zesruits vensters. In de afgeknotte geveltop een kruisvenster met links een zesruits en rechts een drieruits venster.
Waardering
De dienstwoning is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de vormgeving in de Nieuw-Historiserende bouwstijl en als kenmerkend voorbeeld in het oeuvre van de gebroeders Van Nieukerken.
In stedenbouwkundig opzicht is het gebouw van algemeen belang vanwege de functionele en ruimtelijke samenhang met de andere onderdelen van het complex in de parkaanleg.
Het exterieur van het gebouw is in hoge mate gaaf.

The SCHOOLMASTER'S DWELLING is built in red brick on a rectangular ground plan over one storey under a half-hipped roof covered with suppressed Tuile-du-Nord tiles with a drip; the roof projects far out with gutters and wind braces on cut brackets. Further, in both large roof slopes a slightly projecting brick chimney and two roof dormers each with three six-pane windows and flat projecting roofs on brackets; the sides of the roof dormers are clad with slates.
The facades are articulated in particular by cross windows above brick drip mouldings and under segmental arches. In the lower part of the windows six-pane panes, in the upper part four-pane panes; partly provided with half shutters. Ornamental wall anchors at the height of the attic floor. Hardstone thresholds and steps at the entrances.
In the front facade (west) is an eccentrically placed panel door with four-pane window in a simple stone surround and a round-arched fanlight with plastered soffit and springline stones. On either side of the door a cross window. Above the two large roof dormers two more small four-pane roof dormers. In the southern side facade on the ground floor two opening twenty-pane glass doors, under round-arched ten-pane fanlights. To the left of these a cross window, in the cut-off gable top two. In the rear facade (east) two cross windows. To the left of these a sixteen-pane window with rear-pane round-arched fanlight, to the right of these a panel door with nine-pane window. In the northern side facade on the ground floor a six-pane window and two small six-pane windows. In the cut-off gable top a cross window with to the left a six-pane and to the right a three-pane window.
Valuation
The service dwelling is of general importance on account of its architectural-historical value owing to its design in the Neo-Historicist building style and as a characteristic example in the oeuvre of the Van Nieukerken brothers.
From an urban planning perspective, the building is of general importance on account of the functional and spatial coherence with the other components of the complex in the park layout.
The exterior of the building is in excellent condition.
