Omschrijving
TOEGANGSPOORT aan de Runxputteweg, als onderdeel van het complex 'Onze Lieve Vrouwe ter Nood', daterend uit het eerste kwart van de twintigste eeuw. De toegang tot het bedevaartsterrein aan de Runxputteweg is gerealiseerd ten behoeve van de bezoekers die per trein arriveerden. Direct ten noorden van het terrein bevindt zich hiertoe de halte 'Onze lieve Vrouwe ter Nood', die nog steeds enkele keren per jaar wordt gebruikt. Het hek in de doorgang is recent vernieuwd. De gemetselde toegangspoort bestaat uit een brede doorgang onder een tuitgevel met links hiervan een kleinere doorgang. Beide doorgangen zijn voorzien van hardstenen hoekblokken en een ontlastingsboog in de vorm van een korfboog. De poort is anderhalf steens dik en opgetrokken in rode handvormsteen waalformaat in kruisverband met (vernieuwde) platvolle voeg. De tuitgevel en het lagere muurdeel boven de kleine doorgang heeft het metselwerk een achtpuntig pleistermotief. De poort heeft op beide hoeken een versnijding die evenals de drie steunberen tegen de achterzijde gedekt is met genoemde leien.

Description
ACCESS GATE on the Runxputteweg, as part of the complex 'Onze Lieve Vrouwe ter Nood', dating from the first quarter of the twentieth century. Access to the pilgrimage site at the Runxputteweg was realized for the benefit of visitors who arrived by train. Directly to the north of the site is for this purpose the station 'Onze lieve Vrouwe ter Nood', which is still used several times a year. The gate in the opening has been recently renewed. The built access gate consists of a broad passage under a spout gable with to the left of it a smaller passage. Both passages are provided with hardstone corner blocks and a relieving arch in the form of a basket arch. The gate is one-and-a-half bricks thick and built up of red hand-formed brickwork, Dutch bond, with (renewed) full joint. The spout gable and the lower wall section above the small passage has in the brickwork an eight-pointed plaster motif. The gate has on both corners a corbelling which, like the three buttresses against the rear side, is covered with said slate.
