Omschrijving
AANLEG en twee HEKPIJLERS aan de Kapellaan gerealiseerd als onderdeel van het bedevaartscomplex 'Onze Lieve Vrouwe ter Nood'. De parkachtige aanleg in Engelse landschapsstijl dateert uit 1912. Allereerst is begonnen met het aanplanten van bos en het graven van een vijver in het oostelijk deel. Met de vrijkomende grond is eveneens in 1912 de calvarieberg aangelegd. Vanaf het rustaltaar, gelegen aan de vijver, bevindt zich een zicht-as naar de westelijker gelegen bedevaartskerk. Linksvoor de bedevaartskerk is een slingerend bospad aangelegd, dat langs de noordzijde van de open middenruimte in een wijde boog om de vijver voert en langs de zuidran van het middenterrein in een rechte lijn eindigt bij de bedevaartskerk. Langs het gehele pad bevinden zich op regelmatige afstand dertien kruiswegstaties. Aan de Kapellaan bevinden zich twee rechthoekige hekpijlers opgetrokken in rode en gele genuanceerde machinale baksteen waalformaat in kruisverband met platvolle voeg. LAYOUT and two GATEPIERS at the Kapellaan realised as part of the pilgrimage complex 'Onze Lieve Vrouwe ter Nood'. The park-like layout in English landscape style dates from 1912. Work began first with the planting of woodland and the excavation of a pond in the eastern part. With the excavated soil, the calvary hill was also constructed in 1912. From the rest altar, situated at the pond, there is a sight line towards the pilgrimage church located further to the west. To the left front of the pilgrimage church, a winding woodland path has been laid out, which along the north side of the open central space runs in a wide arc around the pond and along the southern edge of the central ground ends in a straight line at the pilgrimage church. Along the entire path there are thirteen Stations of the Cross at regular intervals. At the Kapellaan there are two rectangular gatepiers built in red and yellow nuanced machine-made brick in waal format in cross bond with flat joint. The piers are provided with a short half-hipped roof and a bevelled edge on the side, covered with red tiles. Each pier is topped off by a hardstone coping plate with bead moulding. On the inside of each pier is a hardstone corner block for reinforcement. Between the piers is a non-original wooden spindle gate.
