Inleiding
INCOMPLETE MOLEN.
Deze ronde stenen molen met de naam ' 't Landeke' is in 1902 gebouwd als poldermolen voor de bemaling van de voormalige polder Johannisseland. De molen heeft op dezelfde standplaats een voorganger gekend. De molen is in 1953 onttakeld, waarbij het wiekenkruis, de staart en het grootste deel van het gaande werk werden verwijderd. De incomplete molen heeft thans een functie als semi-permanente woning.
Omschrijving
De incomplete molen bestaat uit de ronde conisch gemetselde bakstenen romp en met daarop een houten kap. De romp heeft drie bouwlagen. De kap is gedekt met riet. De gietijzeren bovenas is nog aanwezig.
Waardering
De incomplete molen is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege bouwtechnisch historische waarden als herkenbaar en representatief relict van een ronde stenen poldermolen uit het begin van de 20e eeuw;
- vanwege cultuurhistorische waarden als essentieel onderdeel van de ontginnings- en waterstaatkundige geschiedenis van Noord-Brabant en de plaatselijke geschiedenis;
- vanwege zijn zeldzaamheid als ronde stenen poldermolen in Noord-Brabant en als één van de laatste geheel nieuw gebouwde poldermolens in ons land.

INCOMPLETE MILL.
This round stone mill with the name 't Landeke' was built in 1902 as a polder mill for the drainage of the former polder Johannisseland. The mill has had a predecessor on the same site. The mill was dismantled in 1953, whereby the sail cross, the tail and most of the running gear were removed. The incomplete mill now has a function as semi-permanent housing.
Description
The incomplete mill consists of the round conically mortared brick body and a wooden roof on top of it. The body has three storeys. The roof is covered with thatch. The cast-iron top shaft is still present.
Valuation
The incomplete mill is of general importance:
- due to building technique historical values as a recognisable and representative relic of a round stone polder mill from the beginning of the 20th century;
- due to cultural historical values as an essential component of the reclamation and water management history of North Brabant and local history;
- due to its rarity as a round stone polder mill in North Brabant and as one of the last completely newly built polder mills in our country.
