Omschrijving onderdeel 1: BORG.
XVII en XVIII; breed onderkelderd gebouw, baksteen, onder schilddak met verglaasde blauwe pannen; middenpartij verhoogd onder hoog eigen zadeldak dwars op het hoofddak en gevat tussen de als halsgevels beëindigde klokgevels toppen in het midden van de voor- en achtergevel. Voorgevel (noord) staat in de gracht. Ingangspartij (over brug bereikbaar) met smalle zijlichten; twee maal vier vensters met kleine ruiten in de voorgevel en drie in de achtergevel. Op de nokken vier schoorstenen met borden; op het dwarsdak één. Meerruits dakkapellen met driehoekige frontons. Evenwijdig aan en tegen de achtergevel van het hoofdgebouw (over iets meer dan de halve lengte) korte vleugel onder eigen schilddak met twee schoorstenen; dak iets lager dan dat van hoofdgebouw; raamindeling en dakpannen hetzelfde, evenals de twee kapellen boven de eindgevels. Inwendig onder meer: de hal met trappartij en gangfonteintje in Lodewijk XIV-stijl (roodbruin- en grijsgeaderd marmer; bak heeft versiering met knorren); een 18de-eeuwse schouw afkomstig uit de stad Groningen en een klokje uit 1688.

Description of component 1: BORG.
17th and 18th centuries; broad undercellared building, brick, under hipped roof with glazed blue tiles; central section raised under high own gabled roof perpendicular to the main roof and contained between the neck gables terminating as bell gable tops in the middle of the front and rear facade. Front facade (north) stands in the moat. Entrance section (accessible via bridge) with narrow sidelights; two times four windows with small panes in the front facade and three in the rear facade. On the ridges four chimneys with boards; on the cross roof one. Multi-light roof dormers with triangular pediments. Parallel to and against the rear facade of the main building (over just more than half the length) short wing under own hipped roof with two chimneys; roof slightly lower than that of main building; window arrangement and roof tiles the same, as are the two dormers above the end facades. Internally among other things: the hall with staircase and small gangway fountain in Louis XIV style (reddish-brown and grey-veined marble; basin has decoration with knots); an 18th-century chimney piece originating from the city of Groningen and a small bell from 1688.
