Omschrijving onderdeel 2:
HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Zoudtland. Hoofdelementen uit de tuin zijn een oprijlaan, een eikenlaan, een wandelbos in landschapsstijl en een bordertuin. De aan de zuidzijde van het huis aangebouwde plantenkas is voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang.
De met puin verharde oprijlaan begon vroeger, vóór de aanleg van de A58 in de jaren '60 van de twintigste eeuw, bij de Liesboslaan. Via een ruime bocht eindigt hij bij het kleine, ovaalronde voorplein met de oude taxus voor het huis. Aan weerszijden is de laan beplant met enkele rijen van monumentale oude eiken.
De eikenlaan kent een recht verloop en dateert wat het tracée betreft uit het begin van de XIX eeuw of is ouder. Het is vanoudsher de Zoudtlandse weg die nu doodloopt aan de westzijde van het complex. De laan, die een recht verloop heeft en het huis via een bocht om het kleine voorplein aan de noordzijde passeert, doorsnijdt de buitenplaats van oost naar west. Ter hoogte van het huis, waar geen naaldbomen staan, eindigt de oprijlaan. Westelijk van het voorplein heeft de laan jonge eiken, aan de oostzijde staan nog zeer oude exemplaren. Ook de eikenlaan kent een puinverharding. In het terreindeel tussen de oprijlaan en het oostelijke deel van de eikenlaan bevindt zich het wandel- of slingerbos. Het oudste gedeelte bestaande uit oude eiken en daterend uit de XIX eeuw of ouder is direct naast de oprijlaan gelegen en heeft een onverhard slingerpad. Ten oosten hiervan bevindt zich een jongere aanplant met sparren. Direct ten oosten van het huis aan de zuidzijde van de eikenlaan is een langwerpige bordertuin aangelegd op de plaats waar zich voorheen de moestuin met boomgaard bevond. Het belangrijkste element in deze tuin is het relatief grote rechthoekige, betonnen bassin dat bij wijze van grand-canal vrijwel in het verlengde ligt van de korte oostgevel van het hoofdhuis. De oevers zijn bekleed met terra-cotta tegels van verschillend formaat. Niet duidelijk is of het bassin als vijver of als zwembad is aangelegd, of wellicht beide functies kende. Op de noordoosthoek van het bassin een fraaie ceder. De bordertuin met bassin en ceder ademen een Engelse sfeer van de jaren '20 en '30 van de twintigste eeuw. Tussen huis en bassin staat een imposante rode beuk van oudere datum.
Het overige terrein bestaat uit weilanden, al dan niet met populieropstanden, de braakliggende percelen en de tuin- en erfgedeelten met een moderne inrichting. Aangezien deze terreinen geen historische park- of tuininrichting hebben, worden zij als buffers en structuurdragers van groot belang geacht en maken zij derhalve een essentieel deel uit van het totale beschermde complex.

De HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Zoudtland is van algemeen belang:
- vanwege de ouderdom;

HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Zoudtland. Main elements from the garden are a drive, an oak avenue, a woodland walk in landscape style and a border garden. The plant house built on the south side of the house is of subordinate importance for protection.
The rubble-paved drive formerly began, before the construction of the A58 in the 1960s, at the Liesboslaan. Via a broad bend it ends at the small, oval-shaped forecourt with the old yew in front of the house. On both sides the avenue is planted with several rows of monumental old oaks.
The oak avenue has a straight course and as to its layout dates from the beginning of the 19th century or is older. It has been since ancient times the Zoudtlandse weg which now terminates at the west side of the complex. The avenue, which has a straight course and passes the house via a bend around the small forecourt on the north side, cuts through the country estate from east to west. At the level of the house, where no coniferous trees stand, the drive ends. West of the forecourt the avenue has young oaks, on the east side very old specimens still stand. The oak avenue also has a rubble surface. In the terrain between the drive and the eastern part of the oak avenue is the woodland or winding wood walk. The oldest part consisting of old oaks and dating from the 19th century or older is located directly beside the drive and has an unpaved winding path. To the east of this is a younger planting with spruces. Directly east of the house on the south side of the oak avenue a long border garden has been laid out on the site where the former kitchen garden with orchard was located. The most important element in this garden is the relatively large rectangular concrete basin that lies virtually in line with the short east facade of the main house. The banks are lined with terra-cotta tiles of different sizes. It is not clear whether the basin was designed as a pond or as a swimming pool, or perhaps served both functions. On the northeast corner of the basin a fine cedar. The border garden with basin and cedar breathe an English atmosphere of the 1920s and '30s. Between house and basin stands an imposing red beech of earlier date.
The remaining terrain consists of meadows, with or without poplar stands, abandoned plots and garden and yard areas with modern layout. Since these terrains have no historic park or garden arrangement, they are considered as buffers and structure carriers of great importance and therefore constitute an essential part of the total protected complex.
