Omschrijving onderdeel 33.
Aan de zuidzijde van de oude Boerenweg nabij het Kooibosch ligt een SCHAAPSKOOI. Hoewel de kooi getekend staat op de kadastrale kaart van 1832 lijkt de huidige vorm van het eind van de negentiende eeuw te dateren. De op achtzijdige grondslag opgetrokken kooi heeft in kruisverband gemetselde gevels, waarvan de lange gevels met steunberen zijn versterkt en de korte gevels iets hoger zijn opgetrokken met een driezijdige beëindiging. In beide kopse gevels een dubbele, recht afgesloten houten deur. De houten opbouw met afgeschuinde hoeken heeft een met riet gedekt wolfdak met afgeschuinde vlakken en afgesloten door nokvorsten.

SCHAAPSKOOI behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Middachten van algemeen belang:

On the south side of the old Boerenweg near the Kooibosch lies a SHEEP-FOLD. Although the fold is marked on the cadastral map of 1832, the current form appears to date from the end of the nineteenth century. The fold, built on an octagonal ground plan, has walls laid in running bond, with the long facades strengthened by buttresses and the short facades built slightly higher with a three-sided termination. In both end facades a double, straight-ended wooden door. The wooden superstructure with bevelled corners has a reed-covered half-hipped roof with bevelled planes and closed by roof ridges.
