Omschrijving onderdeel 2: HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG.
Rondom het huis ligt een kleinschalige aanleg in landschapsstijl. Het terrein besloeg oorspronkelijk een groter oppervlak met een slingerende twee-armige waterpartij (Topografische Militaire Kaart 1913); een groot deel van deze aanleg is in 1970 afgestoten voor de aanleg van het Amstelpark. Voor het huis heeft de aanleg een open karakter gevormd door een grasveld met opgaande bomen en een niervormige waterpartij, langs de oostrand loopt een gebogen lindelaan; er is één zichtas naar buiten toe over de Amstel. Aan de zuidzijde in het park ligt een (natuur)zwembad met betonnen vloer uit circa 1930. Achter het huis ligt een klein besloten wandelbos met slingerpaden.

De HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Amstelrust is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:

Around the house lies a small-scale layout in landscape style. The grounds originally covered a larger area with a winding two-armed water feature (Topographic Military Map 1913); a large part of this layout was relinquished in 1970 for the creation of the Amstelpark. In front of the house the layout formed an open character with a lawn with mature trees and a kidney-shaped water feature, along the east edge runs a curved linden avenue; there is one sight line outward over the Amstel. On the south side in the park lies a (natural) swimming pool with concrete floor from circa 1930. Behind the house lies a small enclosed walking forest with winding paths.
