Omschrijving onderdeel 1: HOOFDGEBOUW (Amstelrust).
Nagenoeg vierkant hoofdgebouw uit circa 1724 gebouwd door architect Adriaan Dortsman in sober Hollands classicistische stijl. Het bakstenen pand bestaat uit een souterrain en twee bouwlagen onder een met gesmoorde pannen gedekt schilddak bekroond door vier gemetselde schoorstenen met kappen en grote windvanen. Alle gevels worden door drie vensterassen geleed en afgesloten door een kroonlijst met consoles: vernieuwde roedenvensters: in het souterrain met hardstenen onderdorpels.
De voorgevel heeft hoeklisenen en een licht middenrisaliet waarin de dubbele toegangsdeur met bovenlicht gevat in een eenvoudige omlijsting, een verdiepingsvenster en een dakkapel (empire). Voor de deur een bordestrap met eenvoudige ijzeren leuning; in de zijkant een toegangsdeur tot het souterrain.
Het INTERIEUR is na de tweede wereldoorlog geheel vernieuwd.

Het HOOFDGEBOUW (Amstelrust) behorend tot de historische buitenplaats Amstelrust is van algemeen, cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch belang:

Description
Description component 1: MAIN BUILDING (Amstelrust).
Nearly square main building built circa 1724 by architect Adriaan Dortsman in sober Dutch classicist style. The brick building consists of a basement and two storeys under a hipped roof covered with combed tiles crowned by four built-up chimneys with caps and large weathervanes. All facades are articulated by three window bays and terminated by a cornice with consoles: renewed glazed windows: in the basement with stone lintels.
The front facade has corner pilasters and a slight central risalit in which the double entrance door with fanlight set in a simple frame, a first-floor window and a roof dormer (empire). In front of the door a flight of steps with simple iron railing; on the side an entrance door to the basement.
The INTERIOR has been completely renewed after the Second World War.
