Inleiding
In 1904 in Chaletstijl gebouwde VILLA De Hoekstee, ontworpen door Willem Cornelis Mulder (1850-1920) voor eigen gebruik en na voltooiing van de kerk in 1926, die in aansluiting bij het woonhuis eveneens in Chaletstijl werd uitgevoerd, in gebruik genomen als pastorie. In de oksel van de risaliet en de voorgevel bevond zich het uitbouwtje met de oorspronkelijke ingang. Dit is vervangen door een nieuw ingangsportaal.
Omschrijving
De villa is op een vrijwel L-vormige plattegrond opgetrokken onder een overstekend zadeldak met rode tuile-du-Nord pannen, een gemetselde schoorsteen, goten op klampen en houten windveren. De vleugel haaks op de kerk telt anderhalve bouwlaag, de vleugel evenwijdig aan de kerk tweeënhalve bouwlaag. De gevels zijn witgepleisterd boven een in hardsteen gefrijnde plint met houten vakwerk direct onder de dakgoten en in de topgevels. De gevels zijn geleed door rechtgesloten vensters met meerruits bovenlichten onder gemetselde segmentbogen.
Links van de ingang risaleert een kamer heel sterk in de voorgevel. In het dak boven de ingang bevindt zich een dakkapel onder een lessenaardak. Waar de dakkapel de gootlijst van het dak onderbreekt, zijn twee dakpannen met voluten als afsluiting aangebracht. Boven de oostelijke zijgevel bevindt zich ook een dakkapel onder een lessenaardak.
Interieur
Het interieur van de villa is goeddeels in de oorspronkelijke staat bewaard met onder meer nog aanwezig deuren en deurposten, een tochtdeur met geslepen glas, lambriseringen met panelen en gesneden traphekjes in het trappenhuis, segmentboogvormige doorgangen en een geprofileerde vierkante kolom. In de buitenmuur van het bordes boven de eerste verdieping bevindt zich een glas-in-lood venster in de stijl van de Art Nouveau.
Waardering
Villa De Hoekstee daterend uit 1904 is van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische en cultuurhistorische waarde als representatief voorbeeld van een villa in Chaletstijl met oorspronkelijke interieuronderdelen en vanaf 1926 als pastorie in gebruik genomen bij de eveneens in Chaletstijl uitgevoerde kerk van de H.H. Fredericus en Odulphus.
Tevens is de villa van architectuurhistorisch belang als representatief voorbeeld binnen het veelzijdige oeuvre van W.C. Mulder.

Introduction
In 1904 a VILLA De Hoekstee was built in Chalet style, designed by Willem Cornelis Mulder (1850-1920) for his own use and after completion of the church in 1926, which was likewise executed in Chalet style in conjunction with the residence, taken into use as a parsonage. In the angle between the risalit and the front facade was located the small extension with the original entrance. This has been replaced by a new entrance portal.
Description
The villa is built on a virtually L-shaped floor plan under a projecting gabled roof with red tuile-du-Nord tiles, a masonry chimney, gutters on brackets and wooden wind braces. The wing at right angles to the church has one and a half storeys, the wing parallel to the church two and a half storeys. The facades are rendered white above a plinth finished in hard stone with timber framing directly below the roof gutters and in the gable ends. The facades are articulated by right-angled windows with multi-pane fanlights under masonry segmental arches.
To the left of the entrance a room projects strongly forward in the front facade. In the roof above the entrance is a roof dormer under a lean-to roof. Where the roof dormer breaks the gutter line of the roof, two roof tiles with volutes have been fitted as a closure. Above the eastern side facade there is also a roof dormer under a lean-to roof.
Interior
The interior of the villa is largely preserved in its original condition with, among other things, doors and door posts, a draught door with cut glass, panelled wall linings and carved stair railings in the stairwell, segmental arched passages and a moulded square column. In the outer wall of the landing above the first floor there is a stained-glass window in the Art Nouveau style.
Valuation
Villa De Hoekstee dating from 1904 is of general importance because of its architectural and cultural historical value as a representative example of a villa in Chalet style with original interior components and, from 1926, taken into use as a parsonage at the church of SS.
