Omschrijving
De HOFJESWONING telt één bouwlaag en is gebouwd op een rechthoekige plattegrond met afgeschuinde hoeken aan de voorkant (zuid). De gevels zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen boven een hardstenen plint. Het pand wordt afgedekt door een schilddak met afgesnoten hoeken, rode geglazuurde verbeterde Hollandse pannen en een gootlijst op klampen. Aan de voorkant een vlakgedekte dakkapel met drie negenruits vensters, in het oostelijk dakvlak één met twee vensters.
In de voorgevel (zuid) een paneeldeur met een tweedelig bovenlicht tussen twee kruisvensters, in de afgeschuinde geveldelen een venster met bovenlicht en in de zijgevels een kruisvenster. Waterdorpels van geglazuurde baksteen onder de schuiframen, zesruits ramen in het bovenste gedeelte van de kruisvensters of in de bovenlichten. Luiken aan weerszijden van het onderste gedeelte van de vensters. IJzeren tandlijstjes op de bovendorpel van de kozijnen, onder rollagen.
Tegen de voorgevel staat een gemetselde bank met houten zitting voor het rechter venster (oost).
Waardering
De hofjeswoning is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van een representatief vroeg twintigste eeuws hofje.
Het is tevens van algemeen belang vanwege de architectuurhistorische waarde wegens de Nieuw-Historiserende stijl met Oud-Hollandse en Neo-Barok elementen en als kenmerkend ontwerp in het veelzijdige oeuvre van W.C. Mulder.
Stedebouwkundig gezien is de hofjeswoning van belang vanwege de visuele en functionele relatie met de andere onderdelen van het hofje.
Het exterieur van het pand is nog bijzonder gaaf.

Description
The COTTAGE DWELLING comprises one storey and is built on a rectangular plan with chamfered corners at the front (south). The facades are constructed in red brick above a sandstone plinth. The building is covered by a hipped roof with cut corners, red glazed improved Dutch tiles and a gutter moulding on cleats. At the front a flat-roofed roof dormer with three nine-pane windows, in the eastern roof plane one with two windows.
In the front facade (south) a panelled door with a two-part fanlight between two cross windows, in the chamfered gable sections a window with fanlight and in the side facades a cross window. Glazed brick water drips below the sash windows, six-pane panes in the upper part of the cross windows or in the fanlights. Shutters on either side of the lower part of the windows. Iron dentil mouldings on the top dorpel of the frames, below roll mouldings.
Against the front facade stands a mortared bench with wooden seating in front of the right window (east).

The cottage dwelling is of general importance due to its cultural-historical value as part of a representative early twentieth-century courtyard housing complex.
