Inleiding
TOEGANGSHEK (2) bij het complex van de begraafplaats. Het hek bestaant uit twee hekpijlers met een hek en is vormgegeven in en gematigde Neo-Classicistische stijl en stamt waarschijnlijk uit het midden van de 19de eeuw.
Omschrijving
Toegangshek bestaande uit twee gepleisterde en wit geschilderde hekpijlers. De pijlers zijn vierkant met afgeschuinde hoeken en op een eenvoudig basement geplaatst. De pijlers worden afgesloten door piedestal-vormige ornamenten.
Het tweedelige hek heeft spijlen eindigend in goudkleurige punten. Aan weerszijden van de pijlers heeft het hek wangen eveneens met spijlen eindigend in goudkleurige punten.
Waardering
Het toegangshek is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als onderdeel van een bijzondere begraafplaats met een israëlitisch en een algemeen deel gesitueerd op een voormalig dijksegment. Daarnaast vanwege de eenvoudige vormgeving in een gematigde Neo-Classicistische stijl en de oorspronkelijke staat waarin het hek verkeert.

Entrance gate consisting of two plastered and white-painted gate pillars. The pillars are square with bevelled corners and placed on a simple base. The pillars are crowned by pedestal-shaped ornaments.
The two-part gate has spikes ending in golden points. On either side of the pillars the gate has wings also with spikes ending in golden points.
Valuation
The entrance gate is of general importance because of its cultural and architectural-historical value as part of a special cemetery with a Jewish and a general section situated on a former dike segment. Furthermore because of the simple design in a restrained Neo-Classical style and the original condition in which the gate is.
