De begraafplek wordt aangeduid door bewerkte hardstenen paaltjes en een hardstenen zerk in de vorm van een grote obelisk met kruis op een hoge sokkel. Op de sokkel staan in witte steen de namen van de overledenen, waaronder Henrica Machielsen wed. van Joannes Ant. van Griensven 1810-1893
Waardering
Het grafmonument is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als getuigenis van de katholieke grafcultuur in Zuid-Nederland en als herinnering aan een der families van de maatschappelijke elite in de negentiende en vroege twintigste eeuw. Het heeft kunsthistorische waarde vanwege de bijzondere opbouw en de stijl en is tevens van belang als representatief voorbeeld van de ateliermatige produktie van sculptuur. Het heeft ensemblewaarde als onderdeel van de beide naast elkaar gelegen complexen van hervormde en katholieke begraafplaats.

Description
The burial plot is marked by worked hard stone posts and a hard stone gravestone in the form of a large obelisk with cross on a high plinth. On the plinth are in white stone the names of the deceased, including Henrica Machielsen widow of Joannes Ant. van Griensven 1810-1893
Valuation
The grave monument is of general interest. It has cultural-historical value as testimony to Catholic grave culture in South Netherlands and as a reminder of one of the families of the social elite in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. It has art-historical value because of the special construction and style and is also of importance as a representative example of the studio-like production of sculpture. It has ensemble value as part of both adjacent complexes of Reformed and Catholic cemetery.
